I wish I could have written OhioDads review. As he wrote everything I was about to say. I dont normally look at other ratings, but hey it was fun for once to do it. Attractive deep orange amber colour, thin off white head that lasts. Big green floral hop aroma. But it doesnt go over the top. Yes its big but not stupid. I still cant believe we have these beers in the UK. Yes its big brash but not as much as some others. Yes some alcohol heat does come through on the aroma and finish. Maybe could do with some more malts in the mouth. What is there is caramelly and tasty and certainly lasts on into the finish. The finish is slightly hot, but the hops just twist your tongue into a different dimension. Aroma is great, maybe just too hot in the mouth, and although the hop finish is excellent, the heat just takes the edge off. Still a pretty good beer though JDUB (170), Beautiful Venice Beach, California, USA

Wow, this is good stuff. Pours a orange amber with a thin white head. Overpowering pine and citrus nose. This is a nice hop bomb, which I love. Didn’t seem like a 10.5% beer. | 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 5/5 | 16/20 | Jun 20, 2007 Keg, Pizza Port / Port Brewing event at Brickskeller. Pours a clear, reddish orange color; off-white head with large bubbles, good retention, and patchy lacing. Generous, resiny and chewy, citrus and pine hop aroma; lovely hop nose. Full, viscous mouthfeel: relaxed carbonation, with resiny and dense piney and citrus hop chewiness; somehow, all the hop flavor is there, but the bitterness is kept at an engaging, chewy point; some pleasant maple syrup maltiness in there as well. Lengthy, piney hop finish. Great stuff. Rciesla (3880), Exit 15W, New Jersey, USA
| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Jan 12, 2009 Bottle. Pours an amber body with a white top. Huge hop aromas, pine, grapefruit, grass, light earth, citrus and a thin malt body. The alcohol is so well hidden in this vast array of hop characteristics, making it one incredible dipa. Awesome beer. mreusch (743), Olathe, Kansas, USA
| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Jul 18, 2007 2007 bomber, pours a semi-translucent orange amber with a minimal tan head that dissipates down to a thin ring, minimal lacing. Inviting aroma of citrus, grass, pine/resin, floral, and an ample amount of caramel in there as well. Flavor is very well balanced, with a large spicy hops bite on the outset, mellowed out with a strong malt backbone that comes into play shorlty after, and a bit of warming from the alcohol. Palate is fairly full, medium carbonation, and a lasting finish. This is a good one!
