A very sweet flavor that finishes with a hop profile that is kick ass. Carbonation is great mouthfeel is solid. A soldi beer all round. A beer that really got my attention upon tasting. I had 3 samples just to make sure that I liked it as much as I did. And I did!!!!! Excellent offering. lordeche (397), Quincy, Massachusetts, USA

Aroma of pine resin, grapefruit, and tropical fruits with a slight caramel backing. Slight notes of toasted grain come out as the beer sits. Flavor is nicely piney, with citrus notes and a slightly sweet malt backbone. Slight alcohol burn. Body is fairly syrupy but still retains a nice dry finish. A really nice double IPA. | 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Jan 24, 2009 (Bottle, Akkurat, Stockholm, 22 Jan 2009) Amber colour with brief, frothy, white head. Slightly hazy. Fruity, hoppy nose with resin, grapefruit and hints of rubber. Fruity, seriously hoppy taste with notes of resin, pine needles and grapefruit. Almost brutal hop character with a resinous bitterness in the finish (or rather all over the place). Above medium body. Some alcohol sweetness comes through towards the end. Truly a hop lovers delight. Lovely stuff! SHIG (2038), Aviano, Italy

The aroma was that of pine and hops. The taste was very lively and the hops made me want more. I was super impressed with this IIPA! holdenn (1444), Chicago, Illinois, USA

Hazy orange color with a small head. Wonderful nose here, grapefruit, carmel, citrus, and pine bouncing between my elated nostrils. The flavor is similar with some earthiness and a nice balance between the hops and carmel malt. Great beer. sistinas (60), Tempe, Arizona, USA
| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Jun 30, 2006 On cask (!) at Papago Brewing in Scottsdale, AZ. Looked reddish brown in the dark, smelled super hoppy and almost a little... soapy? Tasted... holy moly hoppy, but somehow it wasn’t overpowering or excessively bitter like some other beers of the same style I’ve had. Dry, pleasant finish, not too much aftertaste. Very drinkable for how much alcohol is in it. I am still recovering! eaglefan538 (2399), Wilmington, Delaware, USA
| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Sep 23, 2007 Poured a golden-amber color, nice generous initial head, good retention, good lacing. The aroma was rich grapefruits and pine. The flavor was smooth pale type malts, melons, apricots, finishing with a vicious hoppy bitterness, pine and citrus at the fore, and man, some darned bittering hops shining in the finish and then some. One of the most bitter dIPA’s I’ve had, certainly overpowering the alcohol (was SHOCKED it was 10%), and the bitter hops resounded for a while after each sip and after the last sip. Certainly not a malty sticky run away of a dIPA, dangerously drinkable!
