Earthy, piney, and sweaty with some caramel underneath. Hop flavors from start to finish. Long hoppy finish but not very bitter. Medium to full bodied bordering on being syrupy. Alcohol is well hidden. scraff (1946), Baltimore, Maryland, USA
| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Oct 29, 2006 Deep rusty copper, creamy tan head. Nose was just full of fresh melon tones, grassiness, and straight-up mary jane. If only I could have lit this brew up. Anyway, the flavor had every known hop characteristic known to mankind. Every sip had something going on, and was really hard to pinpoint anything except crazy crazy hops. Just a hint of sweetness in the end. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, bitter, green hop finish. A profound hop experience it was... apoptosis (1316), Long Island, New York, USA
| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Oct 18, 2007 Potently fresh, hoppy aroma - citrusy and even somewhat sweet. Lots of delectable hops in the flavor as well. Go figur, with the name of the beer and all, its what I should expect. Its a powerful beer, but still the alcohol is pretty well hidden. Heavy. Quite good! badgerben (3605), Blaine, Minnesota, USA
| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | May 11, 2007 Courtesy of Footbalm. Dark copper color with no head. The aroma is something like an earthy orange; definite citrus, but some of that dusty hop as well. Strong hop flavor with a ton of caramel. A little orange near the end. Wicked good. sloth (1678), Ceciltucky, Co., Maryland, USA
| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Jul 3, 2005 Large tan head that lasts leaving behind little lace. Lightly hazy, copper color. Big ole hop nose, resiny, citrusy and lightly earthy, malt aromas are medium. Body is med/full, oily textured, coating. Full flavored medium sweet caramel malts, sticky hops, grapefruit, pine, tangerine, nicely frutiy. A pretty massive brew in all respects. Finish is mildly sweet, heavily hoppy/malty, resiny and earthy with faint butterscotch notes too boot. Many thanks to the Pizza delivery man, DarkElf! Arayaga2 (976), Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA
| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Aug 20, 2007 Coppery reddish with minimal white head. Aroma is sweet and citrusy with pine and pineapple! Taste is almost stingingly bitter, like a hop tea with a slight sweet edge. Mouthfeel is thick and sensation lingers on the palate, fading with a slight alcoholic finish. $14/22oz agl108 (509), Manayunk, Pennsylvania, USA

Nice blend of sweet caramel malt and piney hops with a bitter finish. Alcohol surprisingly not dominant at 10.5%. Hella tasty. SoLan (1426), Orlando, Florida, USA

Full of juicy west coast hop goodness- tangerine, pine resin, past ripe melon, herbal perfume with just enough malt support. Full body, resinous balanced by carbonation. Very nice IIPA.
