Commercial Description:
First brewed in 2002 to celebrate the 15th anniversary of the original Pizza Port location in Solana Beach, we searched high and low and combined 15 of our favorite hops which were added every 15 minutes to the boil. Somewhat darker than other Double IPA style beers, our beer oozes the hop goodness of pine needles, freshly squeezed citrus and ground spices which are only moderately tempered by a sweet malt finish. Thankfully, for all of us hopheads, we have decided to brew this beer more than once a year. Look for Hop 15 to make appearances from time to time when space permits us to brew this, one of our favorite ales.

GABF 2004. Damn fine Cascade hop aroma, approching LaConner style. Sweet, hoppy taste. Nice and full bodied. Alcohol highlights the finish. Great hop aftertaste.

Thanks to Shyam for a great trade! Pours a cloudy deep orange with a small off white head and some lacing. Some sediment floating around the bottom of the glass. Very pungent floral aroma of pine, graprefruit, mango, caramel and dough. Flavor is distinctly bitter with some caramel malt to somewhat balance what must be a very large amount of hops. Very fruity and makes the mouth pucker as it travels down the throat. Long bitter finish, very creamy texture. A very good DIPA.

Dirty brass trumpet colored. Huge rindy aroma. Packed with hops, but backed up well with rich and thick caramel-like malts that fought through 110ibu's just to be noticed. Superb ale!!

Potently fresh, hoppy aroma - citrusy and even somewhat sweet. Lots of delectable hops in the flavor as well. Go figur, with the name of the beer and all, its what I should expect. Its a powerful beer, but still the alcohol is pretty well hidden. Heavy. Quite good!

750 ml bottle. Clear orange with a nice greenish head. American hop aroma. Chinook? Nice sherry flavor note. Malty and thick. Big hoppy flavor. Great. Enjoyable.

Lightly hazed golden ale wuith a thick light moka head. Pleasant hops aroma, like a filed of hops and cloves. In mout, sweet honey malt, with nice crisp complex hops, citrus, treacle. Complex body and smooth. At EBF 2006.

bottle. another nice hoppy ale! my first pizza port and I was quite impressed. hazy orange hue body. sticky white head. sweet hops up front. medium body seems pretty well balanced and not overwhelmingly hoppy. long bitter finish.

Pours a murky orange-brown with thick head. Aroma of citrus, pine, orange, florals. Promises and delivers....hammering hops. Sweetish malt, but you wouldn’t say the word balance. Still, its the good stuff.
