| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Mar 6, 2009 22oz bottle: poured dark orange with a smallish beige head. Small head probably due to the temperature of the beer. Big caramel/pine aroma. Big bitter, sweet, massive hop taste. Bitter finish. Nice full body. I may have rated this higher back when I was a big hophead but my tastes have changed. I would have loved this even more so back in the day. Still a very nice beer.

| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Dec 10, 2009 Hazy orange pour with a foamy white head. Massively sweet honey and grapefruit character with a lasting bitter pine finish. This is just a sticky, cloying malt bomb covered up by some nice hop flavors but it’s just too overtly sweet and out of balance. deflagro (87), Lund, Sweden
| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Dec 6, 2009 Bottle. Pours an orange, cloudy liquid with a medium-sized, off-white head. Aroma is fruity and grassy with lots of floral hop notes. Taste is a bit acidic and quite bitter with lots of grapefruit and some pineapple. Long, bitter finish. A really nice DIPA. | 4.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Dec 3, 2009 Huge, huge thanks to coyotehunter for this. Pours a golden orange with a one finger head. Smells of citrus, sugar, honey and pine notes. Mouthfeel is thick and oily, taste follows the nose and is really smooth with a wonderful hops bitter. Really well balanced beer. Wish this was available around here. greenhorn1 (461), Mission Viejo, California, USA
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 18/20 | Nov 21, 2009 22 oz bottle. Pours somewhat copper with a big head. Aroma is outstanding. As soon as I opened the bottle, I could instantly smell the hoppy goodness. The aroma and taste is mainly dominated by citrus and pine notes. The bitterness from the hops lingers forever on your tongue. I had no clue this was 10% ABV, it is well hidden. This is great flavorful, well balanced, double IPA. madmitch76 (645), , Essex, England
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Nov 21, 2009 27th August 2008. Orange cloudy beer. Lots of hops but smooth and fruity. Ubiquitous grapefruit aftertaste. Good IPA - slightly above the myriad crowd of hoppy beers. tangent (12), San Pedro, California, USA
| 4.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 19/20 | Nov 18, 2009 One of my favorite California IPAs. Hoppy deliciousness!
The pour has a hazy amber orange look to it, with a decent sticky head.
The smell of this beer is pure hops.
The taste is hop heaven. Not too piney and not too citrus-ey a perfect balance of hop varieties.
Probably not the best beer for someone who is just getting introduced to IPA’s , but for the IPA lovers a it’s hit for sure. potbeercollege (375), Boulder, Colorado, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Nov 17, 2009 Bomber. Hazy dark orange with small white head. Aroma predominantly of citrus-fruity hops, slight sweetness, noticeable malt, notes of pine. Taste is dominated by fruity-acidic hops, slight malt sweetness. Big bitter bite lingers. | 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Nov 17, 2009 Pours a murky orange-brown with thick head. Aroma of citrus, pine, orange, florals. Promises and delivers....hammering hops. Sweetish malt, but you wouldn’t say the word balance. Still, its the good stuff.
