Haslinger (546), Syracuse, New York, USA Apr 19, 2008 Tap @ Port Brewing, Copper color. Aroma is totally dominated by the floral bouquet of the hops. The taste is very hoppy, what do you knowwithout being overpoweringly hoppy. Very floral with just an amazing hop taste. Great beer, would buy again very soon. One of the best I have ever had.
alraicercsu (104), Ft.Collins, Colorado, USA Oct 5, 2008 Pours a good orange color. Smells strongly of hops and tastes extremly strongly of hops. Too much hoppy bitterness for me. WinoInTraining (28), Longmont, Colorado, USA Oct 5, 2008 This is perfect IPA for me. Rich and deep orangey golden color. Loads of citrusy hops on the nose, super complex with floral compenents. Palate is huge without being too heavy. Mix of pine and orange citrus on the palate, with a liberal dose of malt thrown in for balance. Long finish, even at 10% it leaves you wanting more when done with the bomber. Keep it up guys! and thank you for making more than you used to so I can drink it without going to CA. D_malone102 (95), Denver, Colorado, USA Oct 2, 2008 Beautiful. I bought a bomber at Arrow Liquormart in Littleton, CO. It has a darkish orange to light amber color, I dig the darker IPA’s. The aroma is amazing, very citrusy. The taste starts out with some sweetness and hop flavor from late or dry hopping, and then it progresses to bitterness... It’s a fun ride! You can tell that it’s continualy hopped, the hop flavor is so complex. It melds really well with the malt, which is discernable but not overbearing. For a double IPA, this has a great balance. Buy it. Darkover (1212), Columbus, Ohio, USA Oct 1, 2008 Updated: Oct 3, 2008Hazy amber color with a beige head. Aroma of floral and piney hops. Flavor is very bitter and hoppy(tangy citrus and pine) Also with sweet caramel malts. highibus (260), Vail, Arizona, USA Sep 30, 2008 hop bomb, I love it. Aroma is spicy and piney. great chewy body and incredible hop flavor of grass and a ligering pine syrup. A great beer overall, nice finish as well.
