Commercial Description:
First brewed in 2002 to celebrate the 15th anniversary of the original Pizza Port location in Solana Beach, we searched high and low and combined 15 of our favorite hops which were added every 15 minutes to the boil. Somewhat darker than other Double IPA style beers, our beer oozes the hop goodness of pine needles, freshly squeezed citrus and ground spices which are only moderately tempered by a sweet malt finish. Thankfully, for all of us hopheads, we have decided to brew this beer more than once a year. Look for Hop 15 to make appearances from time to time when space permits us to brew this, one of our favorite ales.

Pours a cloudy burned amber with a finger of white head that dies down slowly and laces beautifully. Smells of gigantic hops, citrus, rind that all blasts your smelling senses away. DIPA....yesssir! Throws flavors at you from everywhere. Citrus, malt, sweets and HUGE pine HOPS! Feels medium in the mouth and finishes deliciously dry and bitter from the hops. 10% abv?? You have to be kidding. This brew drinks like a single IPA at most and is a must try for any hoploving BA, multiple times!

22 oz bottle server in shaker. Pours a deep, slightly cloudy honey color, with lively carbonation consisting of small bubbles. Minimal head. Spicy pine resin aroma, with some sweetness. Medium-bodied mouthfeel is oily, but sports a lively carbonation that bursts on your tongue. Flavor is sweet up front, fading to a long, bitter finish with tart sweetness and spice along the way. This is an excellent double IPA, with a major sweetness to offset the hop attack.

22oz bottle served in a Duvel tulip. Sunset orange body topped by a creamy off-white head. Nose of citrus, mango, pineapple, caramel. Deep bitterness lingers as pineapple, citrus, tea, and pine flavors wash over your mouth. Ever so slight hint of alcohol makes an appearance toward the end of the glass. Very good stuff.

From a 22 oz bottle this poured a copper-orange with small head and light lacing. Nose is citrus hops. Very clean and rich mouthfeel. Very rich flavor with great bitter hops perfectly balanced with the malts.. Very nice bitter finish. Wonderful beer.

Pours a good orange color. Smells strongly of hops and tastes extremly strongly of hops. Too much hoppy bitterness for me.
