carl4beer (284), Fairfax Station, Virginia, USA Oct 7, 2008 on tap at pizza port carlsbad. pours deep bronze with thin head. aroma is citrus hops and some hints of malt. mouthful is hop assualt.... i felt like i was breathing hop fire... very nice hop bomb... i loved it!!! DaSilky1 (1622), San Diego, California, USA Oct 5, 2008 hazed bronze, lacy off-white head. nose of tangerine with a touch of sweet pine. spicey hop flavors with astringent bitterness. grilled orange touches. the spicy christmas pine flavors are quite nice and a nice welcome to autumn...the balance here is nice as well with caramel painted citrus. the bitterness is firm, spice is nice, and citrus caramel rounds things out. i dig it. Ungstrup (11353), Frederiksberg, Denmark Aug 10, 2008 GABF 2007. A golden beer with a thin white head. The aroma is sweet and very grassy and also with notes of the alfaacid. The flavor has notes of grass, grapefruit, spices, and hops - going overboard and lending the beer an acidity from the hops and showing off the alfaacids. deftim13 (103), California, USA Apr 1, 2008 Tap at PP Carlsbad. Pours nice sunset orange with a 1 finger head. Lacing for days. Dank citrus hops with just a hint of malt in the background. Little bit of heat in the nose. Taste is citrus hop, grapefruit, peanut shell, pepper, biscuit and orange peel. This is one thick IPA. Nice and chewy mouth feel with a nice tongue coating resin. Nice burn as it goes down. This is one that to me gives Younger a run for its money. doubleo (825), San Diego, California, USA Jan 25, 2008 Updated: Sep 20, 20081/25/08 On-tap @ PP C’Bad. Came in a pint glass with a nice sticky frothy white head on it. Looks a dark yellow almost orange color. Smells of straight up smells of hops. Piney and citrusy and hoppy. This is the hoppiest beer that I have ever had. Well, I guess as far as the citrusy, piney, still bitter and not the least bit sweet, type of hoppiness. Not the almost sickly sweet hoppiness of say, 120 Min. Palate is thick and hop syrupy but still smooth. Bitter, with great carbonation. Awesome hoppy beer. But it would probably kill your tongue after a couple.

Update 9/19/08 on-tap at PP C’Bad. Pours slight hazy orange/amber with a moderate white head, spider web lace. Smells dank , dark and grassy hoppy. Tastes the same plus bitter! Dank grassy hops with some dark citrus and lots of bitterness. Slight caramel sweetness under all that bitterness. Full body, good carbonation. 838317=3.9
