Bottled, thanks cquiroga! Pale brownish amber, no head. Acidic lighly oaky strawberry aroma. Dryish with soft malt and gently sparkling mouthfeel. Complex flavour of wild strawberries, vinegar, oak and blueberries. Vinous with near Cantillon-like acidity. An ultra superb beer that left me speechless.

Aug 7, 2008 Huge thanks to cquiroga for sharing this 05 bottle at the RBSG 08 Grand Tasting. Pours a hazy orangish brown color with ample white head coating the glass. Sour acetic nose, black cherries. Flavor is sharp acetic acid that melts into a tart cherry note. Plenty of woodiness too. Another great Pizza Port sour.

Aug 5, 2008 Huge thanks to cquiroga for popping open this rarity. Thanks Chris! Pours a dark orange brown with a pretty foamy off white head. Great looking. The flavor is pretty tart, lots of sweet little citrus fruits in there, along with maybe a touch of oak in there as well. Finishes with a mildly acidic sweetness on the lips. Well balanced for a sour, and full on flavor. Certainly did not disappoint over here. Very nice.

Bottle at Grand Tasting. Cloudy mango caramel color, lots of frothy white head, plenty of lacing as well. Tart nose, funky, vanilla, citrus. Very sour flavor but tasty. Some acidic vinegar notes. Nice. Finish is bitter and body is mellow. Really enjoyed it.

Aug 3, 2008 From a bottle shared at the Grand Tasting during RBSG 2008 in San Diego. Thanks to cguirogo for this rare treat. Some slight woody cherry funk in the aroma. Nice flavors of funkiness too.

Jul 19, 2008 jjpm made my beer dream come true when he reached out and got this beer for sharing. I am extremely grateful, thank you very much. The beer pours with a fizzy head that quickly fades into the solid block of dark amber color. Cannot see through the beer at all and after all remnants of the head fade it looks very still. Aroma is great right off the bat and I was happy this would be one of those special beer experiences. Its very woody (what a second...) with tart red grape skins and musky red cherries. Not sweet but plenty of tart and funk. As soon as you taste it light acidity hits the cheeks to prepare you for the flavor. Then there is lots of light sour, funky cherries. Then comes a tart finish with lingering acidity. A lightly aged, faintly chocolate maltiness underneath all that. Its really just divine to drink. Very easy beer with a long light tart aftertaste. Awesome, thanks again John.
