This golden ale poured with a frothy white head and a caramel aroma. The flavor is very balanced for this style, starting with malt sweetness and finishing with significant, yet restrained hop bitterness. golubj (1289), Sunnyvale, California, USA
| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Feb 8, 2009 Draft at Bistro IIPA Fest. Lighter amber with small amount of white head. Good hop aroma, citrus, floral and bittering. Flavor is mostly the same, clean malt that isn’t too sweet, and the hops are done very nicely. bhensonb (4339), Woodland, California, USA
| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Feb 7, 2009 Tap at Bistro DIPA festival. Golden amber color with a very fine white head. Fulll body with fine carbonation. Excellent floral hop over malt, but there’s a whack of something approaching menthol. Clears the head. Finishes very floral and nicely bitter. So many hops are pumped into this beer its hard to differentiate between their other hop-bombs. Amazing, but so many hops simplify the flavor. Theis (3760), Denmark

| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Oct 24, 2008 Multiple samples at GABF. Poured a clear yellow color with a thin, soapy white head that left decent lacing. Strong aroma of piny, resiny hops, some floral spiciness, and a moderate citrus fruitiness (grapefruit, orange, and lemon). Strong earthy hop hit right off the bat with a good resiny, piny flavor with some leafy spiciness, and some soft citrus fruit that leads into a decent caramel maltiness that is quickly subdued by a bitter, earthy hop finish with some undertones of pine. One of the better IPA/IIPA’s I tried at GABF. Aubrey (2777), Denver, Colorado, USA

Blast of hop aromas right off the bat (pine sap, bitter orange, tart grapefruit, wildflowers and grass). Solid malt backbone, with caramel and cocoa. Some sourness and a solid bitterness in the finish and aftertaste. Very tasty stuff.
