The aroma has notes of spicy hops, oranges, and peaches, as well as a touch of butter. The flavor is sweet with notes of citrus, wheat, hops, spices, and a weird note of something I’ve a hard time to name, but is a little like butter. Papsoe (15109), Frederiksberg, Denmark

| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Feb 23, 2006 Highly cloudy pale golden hue beer with a tall, moderately lasting frothy white head. Emerging yeastiness betrays a young age that borders the unfinished domain with undeveloped estery nature as of yet that seems pretty limited to meringue-like airy, foamy bananas and lemon pie touches. Pinches of hops offer a soft underlying dryness, but dough dominates to the point that it dulls the malt out. Quite heavy on the carbonation, rather expanding big bubbles, yet pretty sweet. Like trying to make a great sandwich with factory sliced white bread. CaptainCougar (5534), Rockville, Maryland, USA

Has a semi-sweet, lightly toasty bready Belgian yeasty aroma. Body starts sweet and biscuity with good clove spice and authentic yeast character. Very true to style and reminiscent of Duvel. | 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Apr 4, 2006 Draught at Pizza Port Carlsbad Lightly hazy yellow color with thin head and lacing. The nose is ripe with fruity esters of banana and clove, lots of alcohol and bubble gum. Creamy light funky fresh beer. Odd; a bit overwhelmed with esters and other funky weird belgian things. Light orange and orange peels in aroma, with some funky barnyard notes. In mouth, smooth sweet malt with nice orage peels, and rich and pleasant body. At EBF 2006.
