Commercial Description:
Is it really safe to paddle out in our waters? It’s impossible to know for sure. What we do know is that this is an incredibly distinctive and bold American red ale that attacks your taste buds with lethal amounts of hops, which are balanced by a boat load of Crystal malt. If none of this fazes you, then maybe swimming in the shark filled waters is exactly where you belong. We’ll see you in the lineup!

A cold pour yields a rich, gooey amber mucus with amost no head. I can count the bubble spatter. Theres 123 bubbles on the roof of this thing. Maybe thats how many bubbles a dead surfer produces after a shark attack. IDK. Aromas of full on caramel w/ a pinch of citrus. Full nectar and dead as it’s head w/ very little effers. Defined sweetness w/ thick and jammy caramel flavors upfront and a mild hop factor. Theres an interesting aged citrus pulp comonent that protrudes adding complexities. The fnish is bittered mildly w/ citrus rind and has lingering sweetness.

Intense gobs of pine resin, rich malt. Its massive, mouth-coating, malterific. Almost too big i dare say. the malt does take over a bit. Palate is the same as the nose. big and and flabby to tell the truth. Decent

Bottle thanks to Hophead22, thanks. Poured deep red in color with nice off white head. Aroma is very malty with not much else going on. Taste is similar, and not balanced. Not pizza ports best.

Bottle shared by wolf. Damn the aroma smells like a malt bomb exploded into my glass. Dark red in color, average head. Taste is the same as the aroma, malt malty, and maltier. The description say hop, but they were not in this bottle. Not balanced at all. Not that enjoyable either. Texture is stout thick... Not bad but not great as well. Thanks wolf for sharing.

22 oz bottle. Pours a reddish brown with a creamy off white head that retains well and laces the glass.

The aroma is sweet caramel malts, melon, and piney grapefruity hops and a touch of alcohol.

The flavor is sweet caramel malts, pepper, alcohol, sour apples and tarry hops. The mouthfeel is medium to full bodied with a velvety finish.

Overall, almost an awesome beer. The flavor was a bit subdued and didn’t do it for me.

Bottle shared by alexsdad06. Poured a hazy golden color with an average frothy off-white head that was mostly lasting and had good lacing. Good malt and citrus hoppy aroma. Medium body with a slick & smooth texture. Moderate to heavy well balanced smooth flavor with a medium to heavy bittersweet finish of moderate to long duration. Standout brew.
