Pours a slightly hazy golden orange with a huge diminishing frothy cream colored head. Aroma is very forward; spicky, tart, and funky horseblanket. Flavor is very nice, sour, with citrus fruits, black peppercorn, and some slight astringency mid-palate. The body could have been a little lighter, but this brew is awesome.

Aug 30, 2008 750ml bottle. Pours a nice orange color with a huge creamy white head. Aroma is spicy, cinnamon, coriander, orange peel, flowery.
Flavor is much the same over very nice, maltiness. Very nice beer, wish I had more then one bottle.

Aug 7, 2008 05 vintage bottle shared by cquiroga at the RBSG 08 Grand Tasting. Thanks! Poured into my La Chouffe goblet. Gold with a small but sticky white head. Aromas of cinnamon and nutmeg, with some apple notes. Flavor is similar, straight-up applie pie, spices and all. A little lemony tartness as well. Smooth as can be, easy to drink. Probably the best saison there is.

Bottle at the Grand Tasting. Pours a dark caramel color, with a very thick white head, and extremely creamy lacing. Pure cinnamon in the nose, and some fruit, albeit subtle. Flavor has a fair amount of spices, mostly cinnamon and allspice, like pumpkin pie, or perhaps apple pie. Definitely some kind of pie. Very interesting malt character through each sip. Nice semi-tart body. Very spicy and drinkable. Loved this one.

Aug 5, 2008 Another sick and rare PP beer provided by cquiroga at RBSG. You the man Chris. Pours an orange amber color with a medium off white head. Smells of some sweetness to it, I got some apple pie for some reason maybe the cinnamon I got. Pretty malty in the flavor with a noticeable little funk added on. Really smooth and easy drinking. All these rare PP’s seem to drink real nice. Great flavor complexity here.

Aug 5, 2008 At RBSG, poured pale hazy orange with finger thick off white head. Sweetish nose and flavor with some funkj and a bit of must. That’s all I remember.
