This was an amazing beer to sample and I now wish I had a whole bottle of this just for me to try. The appearance is a dark brown color and slightly oily, the aroma had a great spicy bubblegum upfront nose. Viscous and sticky, with a sweet, moist mouthflavor. This is just so tasty, with lots of light and dark fruits, a huge malt backbone, and lots of yeasty spiciness. Amazing!

Tasted at Cleveland tasting on 8-23-08. Thanks!! Bottle pours a dark brown color with off white head. I surprised this was a saison. Considering its been aging a while this may be normal. Has a nice sweet aroma consisting of sweet malt and some slight citrus. Taste is smooth tart flavors, but it isn’t really tart. Sweetness and some spice on the finish round out this brew. I was pleasantly surprised by this brew. Overall it was a nice aged brew.

Dr. Bill’s tasting. Poured a hazy light brown color with a thin off-white head. Sweet aroma with a mild tartness and light oxidation to the malt. Some notes of cola and spice. Mild alcohol. The flavor had a mildly sweet start with a long spicy finish. The flavor dried out quickly. Medium body with alcohol warmth.

Bottle@Dr Bills. Pours brown/orange with slight ring head around the glass. Sweet molases aroma. Oranges, pine, creamy and sweet. Comes alive, and then a bitter dry end that leaves you wanting more.

Bottle. Deep reddish brown in color with a little white head. Orange cherry spicy aroma. Citrusy cherry orange flavor. Coriander spicy notes. Finish is fruity and tart. Full bodied. Very nice. Wow.

Tap @ Toronado. A dark brown color with a laced head. A beautiful spice of cinnamon, cherry, rose buds and candy. This was a like a fine spiced red wine. Smooth on the palate with a full body and nice finish. I like the way this beer attacks at the front and finishes smooth. Rating from 2005 notes.
