Jul 15, 2007 Cloudy yellow color. Small head, but with nice very small bubbles. A little bit of banana, probably from the Hefe yeast. Pretty easy to drink.

Jan 6, 2005 Draught. Hazy dirty orange. An aroma of doughy malts, a banana and clove fest, citrus fruits and hints of peanut butter. In the flavor, a dry, doughy, pretzel-like malt taste is present with a pleasant yeast contribution and hints of wheat, tons of fruits, toasted malts and a hint of peanut butter. Pretty tasty overall.

Dec 6, 2004 Updated: Jan 20, 2005(Draft: Pizza Port in Carlsbad, CA & San Clemente, CA) I had this beer inside Pizza Port Carlsbad immediately after the 2004 Strong Ale Festival was over, and then a second time in San Clemente 6 weeks later, with consistent notes both times. The nose shows Belgian aromas of light spice, light bubblegum and wheat. Spicy and lightly sweet, with a pleasant wheat flavor and some bubblegum. Dry on the palate. Well carbonated at first, but the carbonation subsides quickly. Medium gold in color and murky in appearance. Whitish head is small initially, but is able to retain that thin layer for quite awhile. That thin layer is able to fully coat the glass with a dense curtain of lace. I’m not sure I get the "winter" part of this beer’s name though...

Nov 7, 2004 Updated: Dec 30, 2004Cloudy orange/gold appearance. Spicy nose with clove and coriander-esque odors. Similar to Hoegaarden, except with more body and more alcohol. This is my kind of beer. (Quality and complexity seems to vary a bit betweern batches).
