Aroma at first is a bit chalky and light roast, but as it warms it gains a nice deep chocolate malt character with lots of toast and nut hints- light ester profile and slight tea and heerbal hops. Full flavor for a mild- lots of chocolate malts, some sweet caramel, herbal hops, and a clean lightly bitter finihs. Very smooht and easy to drink especially as it warmed. jcwattsrugger (5393), Florida and, New Jersey, USA

| 2.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 2/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Mar 31, 2007 Dark auburn with a smallish quickly dissipating tan head, this mild ale had an earthy burnt toast aroma and flavor. Subdued hop profile with little bitterness, and a dry finish. Pretty boring though the style is rarely done in America. Easy drinking; like a porter lite.
