Bottle Hazy brown colour with a nice white head. Aroma of banana, fruit and little bread-like. Nice flavour of wheat, and fruitness. Ends up quite pretty and with a nice warm feeling from the alcohol.

500ml Bottle: Pours a dark red-ruby with brown edges until the sediment is poured, then the beer turns a cloudy brown red, a foamy white head with a few off-white bubbles, faint banana fused in bubble gum powder and sweetness in the nose, wheat malt and mild fruit aroma, taste of dark malt, sweet, faint plum, raisin and brown sugar flavors, bubbly on the palate, great mouth feel, a tasty malt drink, faint dark fruit flavor, sediment adds a bread flavor, small bitterness on the tongue, a tasty drink, this is the third Plank beer to date and I have enjoyed all of them, I will buy them again, I wish more of their beers were available in my area.

(500 ml bottle from <A HREF=http://www.ratebeer.com/Place/maine/boothbay/ target=blank>1828 Vintage House) Nice palate and lots of flavors...Pours cloudy honey brown with a huge somewhat rocky biege head in my weizen glass. Aroma of banana, clove, pepper, lilies and caramel. Mouthfeel luscious and soft. Flavor of caramel, brown sugar, licorice, pepper, light sourish tang and banana. Very nice.

Courtesy of boboski. Pours light brown-ish copper with off white head. The aroma is sugary sweetness, wheatiness, banana and slight tartness. The flavor is much like the aroma with sweet sweetness that is sweet, wheat notes, lightly roasted malts, hints of banana, earthiness and some tartness. The feel is light in body.

Courtesy boboski. Pours a cloudy mahogany color with an even light tan had. Light clove aroma, less intense amd less sweet than the Heller, which I preferred. Thinner palate than expected. Surprisingly sweet brown-sugary start, wheat tones move on to dry clove/tobacco finish. Almost smoky as it warms.

Bottle... Cloudy dark amber ale with orange highlights and a large, wispy, off-white head. Incredible retention. Chocolate, banana, clove and hickory smoke constitute the nose. The flavor delivers smoky phenols and toffee with just a whisper of chocolate. Medium sweet; moderately bitter. Lots going on... so much more than just sweet vs. bitter in this one. With a terrific grain bill, hop profile and strain of yeast, there are tons of flavorful phenols and esters. Medium-bodied with medium to lively carbonation. Toasty, wheaty, dry finish. The phenols are not obnoxious in this brew (usually my main gripe regarding this spicy style of beer).

Very light beige head, extremely tall and reluctant to recede. Eventually grand lacing is left behind, thick, clumped and weighty. The body is murky, clouded, liquified pumpkin pie in color, with dark mahogany hints, very stunning (can liquid the color of earth, soil, etc. be pretty?). Perfectly ripened banana initiates the aromatic development, followed by soft cloves, ample wheat, toasted bread, undefined dark fruits and a touch of fig. Alcohol is well masked. Light spice, primarily cinnamon and nutmeg sneak out near the end of each whiff. The flavor is very pleasant and the mouthfeel makes this remarkably easy to gulp away. Tastes of toasted malts and banana lead, followed by light to moderate spicing, moderate yeast not apparent in the aroma, traces of dark fruit and not a drop of noticeable alcohol, all very well melded together. The mouthfeel showcases carbonation quite well, is medium to medium-full bodied and walks the line between sweet and dry without so much as a wobble. The finish is semi-sweet, bready malts and touches of yeast esters lingering. Very good beer from what appears to be one amazing brewery.

Mahogany brown with huge off-white head. Absolutely love the aroma! Yeasty banana and plum up front. Chocolate, clove and faint smoke? Make up the background. Flavor full of yeasty esters. Banana, plum, bubblegum. Choclate and smoke through the middle. Huge clove finish. Highly carbonated mouthfeel, not sure how much i like it yet. Although that other weizenbock is one of my daily drinkers, going to have to revisit.
