[Bottle] Pours a clearish raisin brown with a large beige head. Aroma is somewhat musty, almost stale, plenty of wheat, and yeasty. Flavor is a touch thin and almost a bit sour. I’m not sure how old this bottle is, though. The sourness is mild and actually kind of nice. Blends with the fruity front palate, and dissipates before the caramelly finish. Very drinkable, but I’d like to try a bit fresher one.

Bottle. Crystal clear dark red color, minimal head. This doesn’t smell like much, and what’s there isn’t very good. Touch of malt, nothing else. Flavor’s mellow out the maltiness some, add in a little more biscuity yeast. Finishes somewhat sour. Not bad stuff, but not the best.

Pours cloudy dark brown with light tan head. Fruity aroma with corriander. Toasted wheat, fruit, corriander and yeast flavors. Medium body with prickly carbonation.

The aroma is sweet and fruity with raisins, sour kraut, gum-balls, caramel, toffee, and paper. The appearance is red brown with a nice head. The flavor is like the aroma. The palate is thin. Overall a decent beer.

Bottle courtesy MrBunn. Cloudy Brown pour with a thick fluffy head. Smells like toffee, gumballs and apples. Flavor is a bit odd, but all in all not bad. finishes a bit dry with a bit of tartness.

Bottle. Pours a medium brown with a big bubbly head. Aromas are weak, with toffee, spice and fruit. Flavor is very fruity with a bit of a brown sugar backdrop. This is better on the palate than in the nose.

Crackly, fizzy tan head, fairly quick, over a clear, bronze/whisky colored body. Old caramel and metallic nose with creamy yeastiness behind. Caramel stabilizes late and appears fresher as it opens up. Slightly soured malt flavor with a sugary cloy. Uneventful mouth, a little fizzy with an aftertaste that lingers simply "sweet" and a gut-reaction which lingers "sour". Sub-par. ~~~~~~~~ Purchased October 2007, Party Store, Marshall, MI. Consumed November 2008.

From the bottle pours a translucent, Coca-Cola brown colored body with a large, fleeting, fizzy head of khaki colored foam. A sudsy wash rejoins the body entirely, leaving no lace. Aromas include subdued dark fruit, primarily fig, with notes of dark caramel, browned banana, dry cocoa, and hints of hazelnut. Flavors follow suit, sweet from the caramelized fruits, but balanced by sufficient earthy hop bitterness and dry, semi-sweet cocoa. The mouthfeel is a major letdown. Aggressively fizzy, the sharp, prickly carbonation gets in the way of what is otherwise a medium bodied, lightly syrupy body. Eh....this was far from great. Pretty sub-par, in fact.
