dark ruby brown with great lacing under a huge foamy beige head. aroma is malty with lots of dark fruit(raisin, purple grape, prune), and bits of spice. flavor is malty with burnt caramel, nougat, prune juice, and raisin. hints of spice(clove). foamy over-carbonated palate.

Poured a dark brown with a big light tan head. Aroma is of caramel, mild chcolate, and maltiness. Flavor is pretty strong, lots of malts and some creamy caramel and some dark fruiots in there as well. not too bad.

500ml bottle served in a weizen glass. Tons of carbonation, massive head. I had to wait for it to settle to fill the glass. Poured a dark amber. Pretty restrained aroma of clove and some malt. I got a slightly metallic note that wasn’t pleasant. Medium bodied with a decent malt backbone. A bit of spice in the finish. I was pretty disappointed with this. I’m a big bock fan, and I was really looking forward to trying this. It just seemed very bland.

Bottled. Deep brown with garnet when held to light. The large head is light tan and long lasting. The aroma has some almonds and bread dough. There is also some brown sugar covered cherry. The taste has some cherry cough syrup and pecans. There is a little bit of cinnamon spice as it warms. Highly carbonated, I found the mouthfeel a little annoying.

Bottle. Big grape-infused maltiness, light cloves and brown sugar, strong wheat and very, very faint banana. Just a touch of sweet raisin. Murky brown pour with a lacing, dense tanned head. Taste is very highly carbonated and yeast-dominated, light banana and clove with a touch of alcohol seeping through. Lots of fruity esters with a twang of metal. Spicy and sweet with that touch of raisin and a mineral water. Oily clove. Light-medium body. Good accents all around, but it feels rushed.

LIghtly hazed dark copper to burnt orange color, which gets cloudier and slightly darker as the rest of the bottle is poured into the Aventinus glass. Tall, dry bone colored head. LIghtly toasted wheat and mild cloves in the aromas. A little fruit in the sniff as well, perhaps a bit of banana and currants. Near perfect palate with a little zip and certainly not cloying or thick. LIghty toasted wheat and malt flavors mix with mild spice, light fruit and a hint of old oak. No signs of the alcohol. Balanced beyond most and the flavors, while not mind bending are certainly present and makes one ponder if you are not in too big of a hurry.

500 ml. Huge head on the clear dark copper brew. Initial aromas of molasses, metal and sourish corn occasionally give way to some clove and wheat. Flavors of metallic clove bubblegum, alcohol and light malt vinegar. Aftertaste is earth-spiced cake, and is about the only redeeming aspect of the flavor. Light-medium body is sightly oily and dry. Looking at the other comments and ratings, I think this one was a bad bottle.

bottle. Hazy brown pour with a medium off white head. Nice aroma: clove, light banana, dark fruit, yeasty bread. Taste: wheat, dark fruit, light notes of chocolate, some light fruity esters- banana. Medium bodied, finishes tart and earthy with some lingering clove. Probably my favorite from this brewery so far.
