Cloudy amber/brown color, small off white head that had a decent hang time. The aroma was malty sweet with some hints of caramel or toffee in there. The flavor was mild all around.Mild malty taste with some hints of caramel and a slight metallic taste in the middle. It slowly changes in the end to a slightly bitter bite and a hint of band-aid coming up as well.I’m guessing this brew has to be better then it is,i must just be lucky in getting a funked up bottle. The brew is weak and mildly flavored and thin with a funky after taste.I’ll have to score another bottle and rerate again but for this bottle it’s just pure garbage.

Ridiculously crazy yeast/sediment build-up on top of bottle and cap, even when bottle stored upright for about 3 months, at least. Nice ruby tinted brown coloured body with a very thin tan head that fades fast. Aroma of concord and vinifera grapes, caramel and a touch of malt - not much in the nose here. Medium-bodied; Chewy, raisiny and pit fruits in the flavour with roasted malt and caramel very strong following the fruits. Aftertaste shows a very pleasant mix of plums, nuts, caramel and a dose of effervescent bubbles at the tail end. Overall, a decent dunkelweizen, showing some interesting characteristics, but not an amazing beer. I sampled this 50 cL bottle purchased at Liquor Outlet in Boonton, New Jersey on 03-October-2009, sampled at home in Washington on 22-December-2009.

0.5 l bottle, thanks Timo A! Hazy dark reddish brown color. Sweet aroma with clove, smoke, raisins and plum. Sweet raisiny, tart, clovey and peppery flavor with dark bread. The clovey and peppery spiciness is quit pungent at first but after a while dark fruitiness and dark bread hits in. The finish is slightly too yeasty, but otherwise this is rich and enjoyable beer.

Good weizen. Pours rich dark brown with medium white/tan head. Aromas and flavors of oatmeal raisin cookies. Little bit of yeast that adds a bready flavor. Overall a decent brew.

Bottle. Deep brownish copper in color with a little off white head. Malty caramel toffee aroma. Spicy notes. Sweet roasty and malty tasting. Alright. Medium bodied. Finish is roasted. Decent.

Very large fluffy head, some retention, reddish brown. Unique aroma, gingerbread, spicy, a bit of sour yeastiness. Nice small bubbled carbonation tickles the tongue. Fruity palate, a bit of banana, more of the gingerbread. This is a very original product, I loved it.

Brewed in Germany... Pours a reddish brown color with spritizy off white head. Aroma of wheat, bread, caramel and toffee. Taste is also of wheat and toffee, with some banana, spices and mild clove flavors. Mouthfeel is medium in body with some lively carbonation. This Weizenbock was very enjoyable, the alcohol was well hidden and i think this brew would be wonderful at an Oktoberfest.

Dark brown colored with red hints, little yellow head. Fruity aroma with thin banana, some bubblegum also here. Medium to full bodied. Flavor is sweet also with banana dominating, grains and some rubbery note, aftertaste is yeasty with banana still lasting.

Bottled (BB 05/2010, alc. 7.8%).
Dark ruby, small steady beige head. Banana, toffee, toasted aroma. Toasted banana, sweetness, yeast, some similarities to Aventinus, but a bit lighter.
