| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Oct 8, 2008 This beer pours a hazy golden color with a thin and fizzy off-white head that burns away quickly. Spotty lacing. Aroma of bananas, cloves and malt. Medium-bodied with a clean and sweet character. Flavors of banana, malt and spices along with a touch of peppery hops in the background. The finish is crisp and fruity with notes of yeast and alcohol. Pretty good overall. Cletus (5057), Connecticut, USA

Aroma was of malts caramel and some alcohol. FLavor was warm, thick and sweet, alcohol shows throguh a bit. heemer77 (4312), Savannah, Missouri, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Sep 23, 2008 Hazy dark gold ornage body with a quickly fading bright white head. The aroma has some funk of over ripe bananas and laundry soap. There is also some mango goodness along with a little bit of wood. The taste has some light clove and a tropical dominance of mango. The carbonation is strong and sharp on the tongue. However, the mouthfeel is thick and sticky. A decent brew, but nothing subtle in this sipper. ¾ (4999), Colorado, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Sep 19, 2008 500ml bottle, age unknown. Light haziness, yellow body, white head. Medium body, gets sharp and somewhat astringent quickly, biting and sharp fusel-like alcohol bites the tongue. Nose is ashy and salty crackers, a big biting sharp malt and candy sugar character, with some nearly-acidic yeast, very sharp and imposing. Something must be wrong here. Lacks softness, lacks delicacy, surprisingly difficult to drink. EithCubes (2152), Indiana, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Aug 21, 2008 Bottle. Big clove and dirty banana with dark and muddled malt, spicy with grape and brown sugar, raisins and wheat. Sweet and really overflows the glass, smells like every dessert you’d want. Hazy golden pour with a weak but voluminous soapy beige head. Highly carbonated and tart taste, lightly acidic with citrus and banana creme, meringue, wheat, clove. Yeast is really waaay too strong, feels like a gusher even in the stomach. Has some lambik qualities, with pared-down spice and some alcohol seeping through. Mineral water but no strong sense of metal. Residual spiciness. Another interesting idea and worthy execution; might want to split the bottle with someone, though. mikalooch (168), , New Jersey, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Aug 14, 2008 Almost all head on the initial pour, had to wait about a minute to get it under control. Strong aroma of wheat and flowers, very sweet smelling. Golden yellow color with an extremely light foamy and fragrant head. Fruity, oranges maybe, flavor with yeast, wheat and alcohol finish, I do detect a bit of spice, close to nutmeg. Definitely warms the throat. An enjoyable and refreshing beer, good chocie for a hot day. JPDIPSO (4926), Wauwatosa, Wisconsin, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Aug 12, 2008 Near gusher when poured. Hazy golden color with a tall, big bubbled head. Aromas of wheat flour and mild yeast. A slight floral and mineral water hint in the background. Very easy drinking. Light zip that helps the thick wheat presence. Thick wheat flavors, with just a few hints of cloves, light mint and minerals. Decent flavors but not as crisp or fresh flavors of malt that I would expect in nearly any weizen.
