Poured flaxen/amber/orange/brown in color with a medium-sized, fizzy, off-white head that lasted throughout thanks to the extreme carbonation. Cloudy. Extremely sparkling. Flavor is slightly sweet. Tastes of slight wheat, yeast, bread, slight honey, and a hint of herbs. Medium body. Average texture. Average to lively carbonation. Yeast and slight wheat finish. Kinda boring. markwise (1187), 15 Minutes from Kuhnhenn in, Florida, USA

| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Oct 26, 2009 Nice hazy golden coloured body with orange and light copper tints and a soapy tan head with rather large bubbles that tops the glass nicely. Aroma of alcohol, wheat, malt, spice, pears and a bit of apples. Medium-bodied; Assertive fruity (apples and pears and plums) taste up front with plenty of wheat, a touch of spices (allspice & coriander seed) and a very strong but subdued yeast flavour. Aftertaste shows good character and a lot of flavours running wild, from the yeast to the wheat, the sugars and the light spices. Overall, a good beer - pretty spot on for a weizen bock and definitely worth trying if you can find it! I sampled this 50 cL bottle purchased from Liquor Outlet in Boonton, New Jersey on 02-October-2009, sampled at home in Washington on 26-October-2009. SoLan (1426), Orlando, Florida, USA

Very nice aroma- typical hefe stuff- banana, bubble gum, clove- along with floral and earthy notes and a bit of fresh grain. Same flavor. These guys know how to make wheat beers. Medium body, well carbonated. Dry, yeasty finish. Great stuff. jb (1052), Rochester, New York, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Sep 19, 2009 Extremely foamy out of the bottle, overflowed the bottle, thick wavy white head, hazy yellow, malty, doughy nose with some wheat in there too, and sourness. Palate is tart, a bit like cider, tingly, tasty, well balanced. I liked the dunkel version better, but this is nice too. Ron (1027), Rochester, New York, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Aug 28, 2009 Slightly hazy gold color with a large head. Nice aroma of oranges and wheat. The alcohol really comes through in the flavor and gives you a fast buzz that is great after a long work week. Lots of sweet malt, a bubblegum-like some yeastiness and plenty of wheat. A bit of citrus lingering around.

| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jul 26, 2009 Bottle from Binny’s Beverage Depot in Willowbrook, Illinois: This might be my first Heller Weizenbock, pouring a clear golden/amber body. The initially tall head reduces quickly into a film despite the steady streams of bubbles from the bottom of the Hacker-Pschorr glass. The aroma is light - fresh bananas and some sweet wheaty malt. The strong carbonation quashes much of the flavor, which has the addition of cloves and a splash of alcohol. Not bad, but a bit too gassy for my liking.
