Ernest (4481), Boulder, Colorado, USA Dec 1, 2007 Glass at the brewery (not sure if from bottle or keg). Head is initially large, frothy, rocky, white, fully lasting. Body is hazy medium to dark yellow, bottle conditioned. Aroma is lightly to moderately malty (toasted grain), lightly yeasty (cobwebs), with notes of clove, banana. Flavor is moderately sweet, lightly to moderately acidic, lightly bitter. Finish is lightly sweet, lightly to moderately acidic, lightly to moderately bitter. Light to medium body, watery texture, lively carbonation. As might be expected, kind of like the little brother of the Hefeweizen, but nearly as enjoyable. Surprisingly aromatic and flavorful, with a great balance. Good stuff.
