Poiluchette Brune Cuvée du Château

Bottled. A deep red beer with sediment floating around under a fast disappearing brown head. The aroma is sweet with notes of alcohol, berries, and caramel, but also a light touch of spices. The flavor is very sweet and rather spicy combined with notes of caramel, nuts, alcohol, and berries, leading to a dry spicy finish.

Bottled. Clear dark brown, airy head. Slight blueberry aroma. Extremely sweet with syrup and sugar as main features. Simplistic hard, celan malt character. The sticky finish only provided some dextrose and metal. Very Huyghe indeed.

(Bottle 75 cl) Dark amber with a tall head. Dark, roasted malty flavours dominate this, but not with the sweetness, you would usually expect in a style like this. On the contrary I find it rather dry with a bitter finish. Well rounded and satisfying beer. 191297

33 cL bottle. Pours slight cloudy hazzlenut brown with a fizzy tan head. Dense caramel malt and overripe fruit aroma. Flavour is fruity and caramel malt. Dark mix with a distinct overripe fruit note. Light chocolate flavour and a mild bitterness into the finish, still with plenty of fruit flavours.

(33cl, best by 7/09) Clear chestnut brown body with large tan head. Aroma is medium sweet, raisin, caramel, some butter, light smoke, anise. Taste is moderately sweet, caramel, brown sugar, raisin, some cherry sourness, coffee/roast. Effervescent medium body.
