Bottle. Ruby read color and a typical Stevens Point Brewery head--disapPOINTing. Nice aroma of slightly burnt malts. Taste was disappointingly flat and weak. There was some malt and roasted notes. This was an easy drinker with lots of potential. Decent.

12 oz. bottle in tumbler. Gotta say, Point beers are more often surprisingly tasty than not (except for the Light, of course). This one opens with a strong smell of Vienna malt and "Irish Red" character. This loose bottle may be old and giving me a hint of phenol, but not unpleasant. Much more brownness than a similar Brooklyn Lager, but a thin bottled-macro head. Taste is not quite as rich as its lovely nose, though. Malts a little subdued, bitterness is standard German hop-based, with the usual lack of expressive hop character. And ultimately, the feel is a little watery, especially since it seems over carbonated. But it has some good things going for it, and I’ll gladly accept another bottle in a chance to revise my opinion.

12 oz bottle. Poured a clear copper color. Head was thin and off white. No lace was left behind. Aroma was musty with some light malty caramel. Slightly sweet on the tongue. Tasted of malty caramel and subdued fleshy fruits. Eh. Not a great beer.

crystal clear amber, wispy off white head, caramel corn aroma with light earthy hops, sweet dark caramel malt flavor, just a hint of the vegetables in the aroma, light bitterness in the finish, cleaned up a bit would make an ok amber

Citrus malt aroma with dark copper color and good bubbly head. Flavor is like a weak fruit cocktail mixed with beer. Light cherry, cranberry and woody flavors. Sweet. Very thin in the mouth with a watery finish. Not offensive but definitely no taste explosion here. Very short duration.

Bottle. A pretty light copper amber color. A robust lager with a caramel sweetness, some nice hop bite, although I would guess too much cluster hops in this. Stevens Point beers tend a bit to the heavy side of the style. They also seem to have a slight funk probably from the yeast or water? Not really offensive, but you won’t confuse this with the best craft Vienna beers.

Pours amber, not much head. Flavor was muted, some caramel, some grassy hops. A little sour finish. Musty aroma.

Flavors of grass, with a hint of cardboard. Lightly red in color with an off while head. Harsh carbination in the finish.
