Commercial Description:
Point Bock is made with a rich and flavorful recipe of roasted barley, caramel malt and an extra helping of hops. These ingredients and extra aging give Point Bock its distinct, robust taste and rich, dark color.

Had this one bottled. This one was a great tasting and quite full bock. Nice body and mouthfeel, sweet, roasted malt taste with notes of peanut and caramel, like a Snickers bar in a bottle. Worth checking out.

Right from the bottle. Love the art, silly...anyways. A good beer, medium brown, dark amber. Bit more body than most Point beers. Used to have it playing sheepshead.

In the bottle at the 2004 Crescent Moon Vintage Beer Tasting. This was called Augsburger Bock in the 1980’s when the bottle I just drank was made. Dark brown in color. Good carbonation. Nice and malty. This survived the 80’s quite well.

This beer was kind of disgusting at first. It smelled funny and tasted unlike bocks i have had before, but as i drank it it grew on me and could have had another one if the fn bar wouldn't charge three dollars for this average brew. Shit.

Interesting to say the least as I am hard pressed to tell the difference between this and regular point. Maybe the darker appearence, and more roasted flavor.

Very disappointing. Point usually makes good beer. This is very poor for bock. I suspect some food coloring was used. Tsk. Tsk. For shame, Point! For shame!

A solid beer that has a touch of malt sweetness and roastiness. Essentially just a big dark lager that goes down easy. Solid beer if not all that remarkable.
