Commercial Description:
Point Cascade Pale Ale is handcrafted combining special top-fermenting yeast and a dry hopping process to create this truly classic American Pale Ale. The intriguing character is derived from generous quantities of the choicest Yakima Valley Cascade hops and the finest crystal, 2 row pale, and Munich malts. The result is a delicious American Pale Ale with a signature fragrant hop bouquet and soft malt palate.

Pours amberish with a nose mostly of pine. Flavor is too piney for my flava buds. Light malt flavors try to show up and save this beer, but to no avail.

12 oz. bottle. Nice cascade hop smell, pours a good coppery color with a decent, stiff head. Taste is of nice, toasty malt, a pleasing low level of PNW hop. Nothing huge like an SNPA, but pretty decent as a mass-produced pale ale goes. It’s worth picking up.

I was disappointed in this. It is easily the strongest Pale Ale I have yet to have. Full thick head very strong almost bitter flavor. Nice color and still easily to drink. Just too heavy for my taste in a Pale.

Bottled. Poured a clear, bright lighter orange with a short cap of well-retained off-white head and lots of rising carbonation. The aroma picked up sweet caramel with dried floral notes and fainter citrus. The flavor was quite tasty and refreshing.. sweet caramel and light grapefruit meat at the core with building pine and citrus bitterness eminating outward.. left caramel and citrus zest at the finish. Lighter-bodied with nice balance to it.. short-ish refreshing finish.

On tap at Hop Leaf (Chicago). This light amber ale poured with a thin off-white head. It’s very hoppy and carbonated, and serves as a refreshing drink on a hot day.

Bottle from Capone’s. Dark straw pour with smallish head. Aroma is bready caramel malt, Cascadey dry hops, lemongrass, mild black peppery notes. Tastes very dry hoppy, with too much of a hop bill to match the malt bill. Another average beer. Nothing was really offensive here, but nothing really stood out either.

Pours from the bottle to a yellowish red with medium off-white head and okay lacing. Aroma is a nice hoppy floral-citrus, and thre mouithfeel slightly carbonated and tingly. Flavor was mostly floral hop, with a touch of malt entering in as the beer warmed. A nice enjoyable summer beer.
