Commercial Description:
Point Cascade Pale Ale is handcrafted combining special top-fermenting yeast and a dry hopping process to create this truly classic American Pale Ale. The intriguing character is derived from generous quantities of the choicest Yakima Valley Cascade hops and the finest crystal, 2 row pale, and Munich malts. The result is a delicious American Pale Ale with a signature fragrant hop bouquet and soft malt palate.

Deep golden slightly amber pour with medium white sudsy head. Strong hop smell.. little sour. Palate is very crisp but thin, like sparkling spring water. Flavor of light caramel malt and some salty piney bitter cascade hops. Its almost like a "lite" version of Sierra Nevada. Great Brew, very drinkable.

Pours a golden, medium copper color with a short lasting cream head and fruity aroma. Slight bitterness in the begining which fades but then returns as an aftertaste. Very curious. Light hoppyness, grassy and a hint of citrus. Alcohol content is unknown but this tastes stronger than a regular beer, but not as strong as some ales I’ve had. Very, very good, but overpriced.

Twelve ounce bottle from Point sampler pack bought at the great Sal’s Beverage World in Villa Park (suburban Chicago) Illinois. Sweet hoppy aroma, medium orange/brown color, crisp hop/citrus taste, pleasing finish. It doesn’t have enough hops to kill a small child but it’s a quite respectable effort from a regional brewer. Support the remaining regionals!

Pours to a very clean glowing bronzed colored body with a tall rocky white head and awesome lacing. The aroma is sweet and fruity. Grapefruit, pale malts, heavy flowers like tulips and lavender. The flavor is floral with huckleberry, honey, sweet pale malts, light pine. The palate is sweet like an APA (wow, I figured that all out without Ratebeer telling me). No bitterness to be found like I wanted. Heck I figured this was an IPA when I bought it.

Happy 150th Anniversary to Stevens Point Brewery! This was the second brew featured at Cellar’s LexLarp beer tasting. From the bottle, it pours a light amber with a white head. Aroma is of medium barley malt and lot of bitter Cascade hops. Taste of very hoppy ale where I can taste more hops than malted barley. A little watery finish but very good.

bottle. a nice hoppy APA. nothing spectacular, but it’s passable. pretty much has the NW hop profile going on, not much body but a bit of bitterness.
