Good hoopy pine aroma. Medium body with a slick texture. Well balanced hoppy flavor with a moderate bitter finish. Above average brew. Frank (1067), Chicago, Illinois, USA

| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Oct 6, 2005 Pours a bright, caramel/amber with a yellow-tinged head that holds and laces. Big hopcit aroma makes my mouth water. Orange peel, lemon, some roasted malt, hint of pine. Flavorful hop bitterness with a slightly burnt ending. Pretty darn good, albeit a little thin. Surprising.

| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Sep 19, 2005 Clear gold in color with a foamy, bubble-placated head. Aroma leads in with fresh honey hops, ginger and a gathering of sugary, tropical Starburst assortments. Flavor has a bit of lemon cleanser and an inappropriate yeast strain. Otherwise, we’ve got some grassy characteristics and, you guessed it, cascade hops. Waxy yet dry palate feel. All said and done, it comes off as more of a hoppy Bohemian pilsner, but for the price, it’s decent. TheEnemy (422), Chicago, USA

Strong citrus hop aroma, some hop bitter aroma as well. Nice light orange-amber appearance with decent foamy-white head. Excellent bitter & citrus hop flavor could use a bit more malt support but the malt is basically there. Spicy, slightly peppery flavor asserts later. An otherwise mundane brewery accidentally gets one right by using flavorful, quality ingredients and sticking to the basics. I only wish it was as common in the Chicago area as their flacid flagship "special" lager. Terminus (1955), Las Cruces, New Mexico, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Sep 8, 2005 bottle-pours clear orange with a small white head. nice sweet grapefruit aroma with a little grassy note as well. farily sweet by the aroma. flavors are big citric hop notes with a sweet malt base. mixes very well and refreshing. some candy like notes in the finish. I would say this is a very solid pale here. I would drink a 6er of this at a party with no problem. nice work point!
