Commercial Description:
Point Cascade Pale Ale is handcrafted combining special top-fermenting yeast and a dry hopping process to create this truly classic American Pale Ale. The intriguing character is derived from generous quantities of the choicest Yakima Valley Cascade hops and the finest crystal, 2 row pale, and Munich malts. The result is a delicious American Pale Ale with a signature fragrant hop bouquet and soft malt palate.

Terrible soda-salty bitterness. Not nearly enough malt, just barely drinkable. Gross.

Bottle shared with the guys at the Barrios’ 500th Swallow Tasting. Clear golden with wispy white head. Pretty standard and a little one dimensional, but still enjoyable. Lingering bitterness. Might be a little old.

Pours a fading off-white head with a golden body. Smells faintly of apples and not much hops. Flavor is the same with a little cardboard. Finish has some bitterness.

Pours a amber color, very small white head and a moderate amount of carbonation. Aroma is a bit of sweet caramel malt with a modest amount of cascade hops orange citrus notes. Flavor has a slightly watered down feeling of an orange citrus hoppy note, lots of light sweet leafy hops middle and ends with a sweet caramel malt note. Mouth feel is actually really good with a decent density compared to the style and generally lighter beer brewed at this brewery.Overall a pretty decent beer for a cheap price tag.

Orange amber with fair, cream beige head / Nose of citrus, caramelized sugar, and dry hops / Light to medium body, some sweetness, with good balance and decent, mildly biting, finish / Mild flavors of burnt sugar, dry hops, orange, and grapefruit / Kudos to this college favorite for trying to evolve into a craft brewer.
