Commercial Description:
Point Cascade Pale Ale is handcrafted combining special top-fermenting yeast and a dry hopping process to create this truly classic American Pale Ale. The intriguing character is derived from generous quantities of the choicest Yakima Valley Cascade hops and the finest crystal, 2 row pale, and Munich malts. The result is a delicious American Pale Ale with a signature fragrant hop bouquet and soft malt palate.

Bottled. Mild hoppy nose, flowery, with some diacetyl and DMS and light sweet maltiness. Golden amber clear with thin off-white light foamy head. Medium body with medium carbonation. Starts with a bit of caramel maltiness, lightly sweet, with flowery but blunt hop bitterness. Light acidity and mild-medium bitter finish, followed by a dull bitter after with a bit of sweet caramel undertone. A bit of diacetyl.

pours a clear light gold with a one finger fluffy off white head. aroma is hops with a little malt and orange peel and also a little grapefruit and pine. has a light to medium body with spotty lacing and good carbonation. flavor is the same as aroma, but a bit stronger. has a dry hop aftertaste and i would take this over sierra nevada especially for the price $9.99 for a twelve pack. a very nice apa. the pine sits on the tongue for a little while, and there is a little bite from the carbonation and hops. the only down side is if you have more than 7-8 of these the crystal malt gets a little annoying on the palate.

Appearnce is lacking but at least it has a lacing. Nice pale ale color, but still seems lacking. Smell is of light cascade hops with a very light and flowery accompanyment, hardly noticeable. Taste has a pretty hoppey bite at first, and then the aftertaste is pretty hoppy as well. The only thing is that I can’t taste any fruityness, but what I can taste is wateryness. I feel only hard water.

Golden color; creamy head. The aroma is lightly hoppy and fruity. The mouthfeel is not strong, there is some malt sweetness, and some nice aromatic hopping. Pleasant, but simple.

Medium amber color, full off white head. A mostly hoppy ale with hints of sweet malts, yeast, and summer florals. A light bodied ale, nicely carbonated with a crisp and clean hop finish.

Had this beer on 6/9/2006. Aroma has a nice hoppy scent to it. Color is a rich gold with good carbonation and a nice head. Taste is light, crisp and hoppy. Starting with a light body it goes down easy with a refreshing feel. Finish comes on with fizzy feel and a faint malt flavor then is backed by a fresh hop flavor and mild bitterness. As you rest the hop flavor builds nicely. Overall its a very good, well rounded and refreshing Pale Ale. This is a nice light Pale that has very good hop character.

Bottle. Pour is light amber with a thin off white head. Aroma of pine with a touch of sweetness. Flavor is more pine hops, somewhat abrasive, rounded out with some sweet malt. Little bit of bitterness in the finish.

Pours amberish with a nose mostly of pine. Flavor is too piney for my flava buds. Light malt flavors try to show up and save this beer, but to no avail.
