Commercial Description:
Point Einbock is an authentic Maibock Style Lager. There are many stories as to how Bock beers were named. Some assert the origins date back to the north-German town of Einbeck. Others maintain that "bock," the German word for "goat," relates to the "kick" of some bock beers. This seasonal Bock beer, offered only during the Spring, is hand-crafted utilizing the finest Munich and Vienna styles of specialty malts with a blend of Bavarian Hallertauer hops. With a German translation of "One-Bock," Point Einbock is one Bock you are sure to enjoy.

12oz bottle-Pours a clear copper body with anice tight one finger off white head. Aroma of malt and caramel. Taste of the same with a bit of hops thrown in. This medium bodied brew is rather smooth with a nice sweet finish. A nice brew for a cool day.

Pours a clear copper with little head just a bit of white. Aroma is definite caramel. Flavor is caramel and hops. Body is light with fair carbonation but still fairly light.

Pours a transparent bright copper amber with a thin, spotty-lacing off-white head. Aroma of sweet toasty, grainy German malts and some caramel toffee with a touch of lager yeast character. Body starts with good fullness and sweet malty notes balanced with a crisp noble hoppiness and some mild oxidation before a smooth, bittersweet finish. A pretty true to style and drinkable heller bock.

Pours a clear orange-golden colour with a off white malty head. Sized up next to other maibocks- i’d say this was on the lighter side, that’s why my rating might be a little lower. Aroma is nice, almonds, goats, and toffee. Mouthfeel is very full and creamy flavors are semi sweet and malty.

I wish there was a rating for price/quality. I have family who lives in Stevens Point and Point beer is even cheaper there then here in Chicago. I don’t buy a Point brew and expect a killer top of the line beer. I expect a solid beer for the price. In my opinion Point makes some of the best beer for the price. The prices are similiar to MGD and Bud, but is sooo much better. They give you variety on a budget. Bars in Stevens point will sell bottles of Point beer for $1 on specials, and to me that is a GREAT deal. Point continues to crank out some of the best budget beer in the country. They always put out a GOOD beer at a great price. I paid $5 for a six pack of this beer and it was exactly what I expected. GOOD taste for the price. Not a beer I would buy all the time but it is a beer I would buy to change things up every so often. Being a college student who likes a beer that isn’t dirt cheap and crappy, Point offers me a solid beer at a solid price. Keep up the good work Point.

Bottle. Caramel and toffee with a little of that cellary funk I love. Amber-copper body, clear with a creamy, dense beige head. Taste is sticky caramel with a a bit of chocolate and grain, some sticky soured grape and stale carbonation. Light bitterness, mineral, spice. Medium body and some metallic after effects that really buzz my teeth. Dark, dark finish. Think I’ll pass.

Very solid for such a cheap beer. Light amber color and lots of bubbles. Mild caramel aroma. A little sweet, with some grain and a little alcohol. Moderate hops as well.
