| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Apr 18, 2008 Pours light bronze with a soapy sudsy tan head. The aroma is butter and rich with butterscotch and caramel. Medium / light body that is too crisp and biting for a bock as well as having harsh biting carbonation. The taste has caramel and butter of the aroma, but is very medicinal and tinny. This is not a beer for me. esjaygee (1578), Oak Creek, Wisconsin, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Apr 17, 2008 Light amber with mammoth tan slowly diminishing head. Aroma of caramel malt, mixed fruit and spice. Taste mainly malty with notes of caramel, fruit and has a mild sugary/fruity finish. A little thin, but not too bad. nickspies (76), Omaha, Nebraska, USA
| 1.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 4/5 | 3/10 | 1/5 | 5/20 | Mar 31, 2008 Bottle at Extreme Beerfest 2008 (Crescent Moon): Flavor is not really like a Bock. Watery and thin body. Golden color with a decent head. JorisPPattyn (5192), Antwerpen, Belgium
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Mar 30, 2008 Good yellow-orange head over orange-foxy beer. Little chocolatey, point of ureum in the nose, whiff of hops, and precious little sugars for a Bock... Bit leafy, even grassy. Bitter chocolate, harsh hops dominate more chocolatey malts. Not very refined. Unripe banana peel, bit of orange flavour. Rainwater quality, soft water, but not watery; slick. Harsh-hoppy. No German Bock ever had half this amount of iso-alpha’s. Better choice of hops might have made this succeed on its own merits. Thanks to Dave A. kmeves (1081), Mount Pleasant, Wisconsin, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Mar 27, 2008 Pours a golden amber with a thin off-white head. Light aromas of caramel, bubble gum malt and some dough. Flavor of caramel and toasted malt and some honey. Thin mouthfeel. This is a gateway bock. jetzler (622), oklahoma city, Oklahoma, USA

| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Mar 24, 2008 Oh yeah, good stuff. Big sweaty corn and sharp, dried wheat and barley nose. Crisp, moderately hoppy, a bit sharp, but also very fresh and mildly sweet with a bit of honey flavor, just what you want in a maibock. It’s nothing great, but it’s nothing terrible either, and these days I’m in a maibock mood. hopdog (5612), Lansdale, Pennsylvania, USA
