Cornfield (4245), Oak Lawn, Illinois, USA May 4, 2008 Pours a bright golden orange body with a sustained off-white head. Light aroma of sweet grainy malt, lightly toasted, and, alas, a splash of mineral water. The latter disappears from the flavor and is replaced by a moderate floral/grassy bitterness that keeps the sweet malts in check. Actually, a fairly decent drink if, perhaps, a bit lightweight for a bock.

JK (2341), Twin Cities, Minnesota, USA Jun 28, 2008 Very solid for such a cheap beer. Light amber color and lots of bubbles. Mild caramel aroma. A little sweet, with some grain and a little alcohol. Moderate hops as well. Sledge Jr (2692), Omaha, Nebraska, USA Jun 18, 2008 In the bottle at the 2008 Crescent Moon Extreme Beerfest. Pours dark gold with a white head. Has the aroma of saltine crackers. This is very tasty for a Point beer, but lousy for a helles bock. It does have some interesting toffee flavors. Walt (2251), El Centro, California, USA May 21, 2008 Pour is clear amber colored with a thin sticky light tan head...smell is toasty and sweet with some hints of caramel and stewed vegetables...taste is weak at best...faintly sweet and toasty with some cardboard notes...lightly vegetal...finish is lightly sour... alexsdad06 (536), Ohio, USA May 8, 2008 12 oz. bottle courtesy of joeybgood. Pours a crystal clear copper color with a disappearing small beige head. The aroma is mildly sweet caramel, toasted grainy malts, and light corn. The flavor is moderately sweet malts, corn, roasted grains, and some grassy hops. Light to medium bodied. This is definetly drinkable, but unspectacular. Strykzone (850), Wood River, Illinois, USA May 5, 2008 Motor oil color with only a small ring of foam and light carbonation. Grass and malt aroma. Flavor of fruit and barley with a bit of both hop and spice. Throw in some toffee as well.
