Commercial Description:
Point Horizon Wheat is an alluring combination of spring wheat and specialty malts along with Yakima hops and American ale yeast. This lively and light, perfectly balanced wheat beer pours cloudy and finishes with a white creamy head. The glowing golden hue may help you visualize the start of a new day as early morning rays of sunshine bounce across the horizon of an American wheat field.

Pours a very light cloudiness to this very yellow colored beer with a small white head. Aroma has a good yeasty note, wheat and light citrus lemon hint as well. Flavor is pretty bland with only a very light wheat note at the start and ends with a lemon/fruity flavor. Brew is pretty thin and the yeast flavor really misses in the flavor. Overall something I will most likely not get again, kinda disappointing.

Pretty nondescrip wheat. Some wheat/fruit aromas, same for flavor. Not very tasty.

12oz twist-off bottle. Clear golden color, no head. Unfiltered? huh. Whomever made the label, he’s a liar. Aroma of two day old, unsalted, un-buttered popcorn. Hint of dried banana peel. Sweet. Kinda flavorless. Just sweet, very fluid. Not what anyone would expect.

Pours cloudy light yellow (think lemon pie filling, then dull down the yellow a notch) with a 2 finger, creamy white head that fades to a skim rather quickly. Aroma is pretty weak... a little lemon, wheat, and some oddly misplaced lager yeast notes. Flavor is more of a typical wheat ale, light and vague fruity notes, lemon a tiny bit of wheat and a little bready yeast. Has a cereal and fruit finish. Palate is thin, with a soft pillowy carbonation and slightly chalky feel, neutral finish. Pretty poor even for a style that I really don’t expect much from.

Bottle - Pours cloudy yellow, Nose of yeast, somewhat light and watery compared to other wheat’s. Missing spice that a general wheat has also. Very easy to drink, I would buy this again.

Bottle at Beer Bourbon and BBQ Festival in Richmond VA on 5-30-09. Hazy blond. Nose is soft wheat, grass and lemon. Taste is grainy, grassy, semi-sweet with light lemon and floral hop notes. Body is light, crisp with soft, tingly bubbles. Ends with more grains and wheat notes along with light lemon.
