Commercial Description:
Point Horizon Wheat is an alluring combination of spring wheat and specialty malts along with Yakima hops and American ale yeast. This lively and light, perfectly balanced wheat beer pours cloudy and finishes with a white creamy head. The glowing golden hue may help you visualize the start of a new day as early morning rays of sunshine bounce across the horizon of an American wheat field.

Appearance: Pours a lightly hazy, yellow body with a thin, quickly dissipating, white head. Smell: Barley and weakly tangy wheat rounded out with meager notes of lemon and light floral hints. Taste: Small nibbling bite of wheat bread with a faint sweetness. Add in some lemon (though light), add in some spice (though, again, light). Very mild spicy, floral hop profile and just a hint of bitterness. Horizon Wheat finishes dry and rather abruptly. Mouthfeel: Medium-thin body. Medium carbonation. Drinkability: Seemingly designed for light, refreshing (if instantly forgettable) summertime drinking. Those of you looking for further complexities, depth of character, and, well, flavor best look elsewhere.

Bottle from Total Wine - Midlothian on 05/17/2009. Somewhat hazy golden body with a medium frothy white head. Wheat, pale malt, and light spice aroma. Grainy wheat flavor, some pale malt, some honey, and a touch of spice. Medium body with moderate carbonation.

(Bottle courtesy of Headbanger) - Color is a hazy yellow. Carbonation is good but only produces a thin ring of a head. Aroma of bread dough. Taste is light and bland. Starting with a light body it goes down easy and smooth. Finish is bland with just the faintest hint of honey. After taste is clean, its like creamy water. Overall this is a weak brew and one of the most flavorless I have ever had.

Bottle… Hazy yellow ale with a small, fizzy, white head. Other than an odd note of warm perspiration and a rumor of pale grain, I’m not really picking up much, aroma wise. Medium-bodied with dancing carbonation. Perfectly-balanced, but pretty much flavorless... even at room temperature. Crisp, clean finish. Bottle courtesy of Headbanger!

cloudy yellow, no head. Smells of wheat and yeast. thin to medium mouth feel. has just a hint of sweetness in the taste, maybe like honey, taste some wheat, but overall not real flavorful, this is another one that would be good on a hot day after working in the yard. underwhelming.this one doesn’t give me any reason to buy again.

Pale hazy straw gold with a large frothy white head. Faint yeasty aroma. Flavors are wheat and yeast, touch of banana on the finish. Clean, but unremarkable. Lively carbonation on the palate.
