Color is a pale gold with light carbonation and a nice tight head. Taste is light and bland. Starting with a light body it goes down with a smooth almost creamy feel. Finish is sweet and clean, but leaves you a bit bland. In the end its just bad. Hammster (187), Eagan, Minnesota, USA
| 1.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 2/5 | 3/10 | 2/5 | 6/20 | Oct 12, 2007 Bottle. Poured a very pale yellow with a medium-sized white head. Very light aroma. Taste is amazingly bland--on par with Busch Light. Palatable and chuggable probably but definitely not worth the price. mlroseplant (12), Indianola, Iowa, USA
| 1.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 2/5 | 2/10 | 3/5 | 3/20 | Aug 13, 2007 This is several notches down from the regular Point Special Lager. It is very light, very thin, and tastes a bit like hay. And yet, somehow, it is not that offensive. After the first two sips, it begins to grow on you a little. The local Hy-Vee seems to have bought a bunch of Stevens Point beer and put it on sale. I have bought them out of some other styles, so I decided to try a six-pack of this. I will not buy a case of it, that’s for sure. Might as well buy Miller High Life at a better price. jpm30 (1588), East Central, Georgia, USA
| 2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 7/20 | Aug 2, 2007 From a twist-off 12 oz. bottle, no freshness date, sampled in a pint glass.
Your typical light lager appearance, pale yellowish golden with a small foamy white head that quickly settled into a fine soapy lacing.
Faint aromas of grainy sweet pale malts and an even lighter flowery citrus. There are slight traces of a sour honey, lemony corn out at the edges, even though, according to the brewery, corn, maize was not used in this. Pretty macro light smelling.
Active, but not fizzy carbonation, a smooth, if not a tad watery, light bodied mouthfeel, softly crisp and dry, the taste is not that different from many other light lagers, especially macro lights you would associate with the state of Wisconsin, thin sugary pale malts, hints of graininess, a light lemony hoppiness, touches of sour honey towards the end, dry and clean in the finish.
I’ve noticed at the stores in my area of Illinois, a six of Point Light is often priced a dollar more than the sale price of Miller Lite, but then Miller Lite always seems to be on sale, I would choose this over Miller Lite.

| 1.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 2/10 | 2/5 | 2/10 | 1/5 | 4/20 | Jun 9, 2007 Um, watery, might have had some hops in it. The bottle did not turn blue to tell me the beer had reached optimum temp. Your typical run of the mill light beer. whiterabbit81 (244), Tallahassee, Florida, USA
| 2.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 2/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 9/20 | Jun 2, 2007 Pretty decent for a light beer. Pours a very pale light yellow with a average "light beer" head. Actually has some lacing on the side of the glass - nice touch. Flavor is adjunct-free, mainly a very light malt flavor with a touch of bittering hops. Yep, the "premier light" isn’t too shabby. DrnkMcDermott (1848), Downers Grove, Illinois, USA
| 1.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 2/5 | 4/10 | 1/5 | 5/20 | Jun 1, 2007 12 oz. bottle. Pizza dough smell under the cap. Pours incredibly pale, and does not get much darker in glass, where a thin film of foam fails to cover it up. Mostly fizzy soda taste, as expected, very watery mouthfeel, though not as foul as other lights I’ve tried. What little malt is here is matched by what little hops are present. Well, tasteless beer still scores better than bad-tasting beer. Skyview (4049), Papoose Jct., Minnesota, USA
| 1.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 2/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 7/20 | May 27, 2007 Picked up single 12-oz bottle from Pick & Save in Marshfield, WI. Pours a very light pale golden yellow brew with a thin white head that dissolves too quickly. Serve at 35 degree and you won’t have not head. Aroma of multi-grain (mostly corn) malt with some citrus and flowery hops. Taste is fairly crisp, clean cut, very carbonated and not much hops bitterness. Nothing spectacular but a decent lawn mower beer.
