Thanks to oetiii for keeping this one buried in his fridge for almost five years. Pours a clear pale golden brew with a fast dissolving white head that dissipates clean due to its long age. Aroma of light waffle batter with a hint of maple syrup and a touch of corn. Taste is light to medium bodied, with flavors of golden grain malt, a hint of maple syrup and brown sugar, and some citrus zest. Finish is semi-sweet with a gritty texture and a mild maple/wheat aftertaste. Beer is well past its prime would have like to try this one fresh. Crit (2405), New Westminster, British Columbia, Canada

| 2.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 4/5 | 3/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Oct 20, 2007 Had this beer on 10/7/1999. Aroma is is very faint and there is no maple to it. Color is a bright gold with good carbonation and head. Starts with a light body that goes down bubbly. Finish is a light malt flavor that is backed but a faint maple taste. Its an ok brew but a bit too light all the way around. hennes (932), Fountain, Michigan, USA

I brew a good deal of beer and also spend my springs in Northern Michigan making syrup, and have made my own usually less than succesful attempts to compine these liquids. But the cheap candy flavor of this beer is simply wrong. Disappointing, because I’m a huge fan of the Point brewery. TheDean (785), MIlwaukee, Wisconsin, USA
| 1.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 2/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 7/20 | Dec 5, 2003 So I was up in the Steven's point area, and found out a friend I know up there had one of these in his fridge (mind you, this guy still has a pull tab Old Milwaukee unopened hiding in the back of his fridge). I was in heven, as it is one of the ONLY point beers I haven't rated. The bad thing is it hasn't been made for about a year, so it tasted somewhat old (somewhat being an understatement), but at least I was able to rate it. | 2.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 9/20 | Oct 31, 2000 A light, refreshing American wheat with the slightest hint of maple. I found the maple characteristics a bit too subdued with the wheat style. Could use a bit more ingredients to beef it up a bit.
