CanIHave4Beers (833), Des Moines, Iowa, USA Nov 5, 2009 Pours a light orange color with a small head. The aroma has mild nutty notes and a bit of graininess. The flavor is malty and grainy with some light fruity sweetness and some light nuttiness, light, light, light. wheelz843 (203), Grand Rapids, Michigan, USA Nov 2, 2009 bottle. pours a copper color with little head. has a sweet, hoppy aroma.has a nice , malty flavor with a dry, warm finish. kind of bland tasting, not as good as other oktoberfests. webbcreative (111), , Oklahoma, USA Nov 1, 2009 Poured light copper color, with 2 finger white head. A = faint toasty-ness, not too much else going on here. T = little bit more of the toasty flavor, but its pretty weak. The hops barely show up here, just enough to keep it from being unbalanced to the sweet side. mouthfeel is maybe a notch below medium.
Overall this is just a really typical offering from Point, which average at best. Seems like every aspect of this beer needs to be bumped up a notch or two. This is just to light overall for me. Pawola22 (676), Kansas City, Missouri, USA Oct 27, 2009 12oz bottle. Pours a crystal clear, orange-copper body with a thin, off-white, fizzy head that dissipates quickly and leaves a moderate lacing. Aroma is sweeter caramels with a light grain, some earth, honey, and a distinct malty apple fruit. No real hops or toasty malts. Flavor is more earthy with a dry nutty, light toast to go along with a sweeter caramel. Finishes with a light hop bitterness and lingers with a short, malty sweet, semi toasty, earthy aftertaste. Light bodied and very smooth with a nice, crisp ending. Overall, a decent tasting Oktoberfest with a nice, crisp flavor. Not the best, but not the worst. Rciesla (3500), Exit 15W, New Jersey, USA Oct 21, 2009 Bottle. Pours an orange amber body with a yellow white head. Sweet malt notes, light earth tones, caramel and cider notes. Overall it rather bland but session able. Eh. iamqueensblvd (178), , Iowa, USA Oct 4, 2009 Pours an orange color with a white head that just barely hangs on throughout the drink. Classic lager flavor. maybe a bit of subtle sweetness to differentiate it from a bud. nothing special.not horrible...not great. eboats (887), Omaha, Nebraska, USA Sep 26, 2009 The first sip made me cringe and think, "Ohh..... terrible!" The subsequent drinks did nothing to correct that impression, and in fact only intensified the horrific flavor mess this brewery decided to bottle.. A bitter dry metallic flavor that made me really want a Bud Light. milljam (562), Norman, Oklahoma, USA Sep 22, 2009 Aroma has notes of caramel, malt and lager yeast. Flavor is similar. Nothing bad, but there wasn’t anything that stood out as good.
