| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Mar 15, 2007 Pours a pale yellow with a big fluffy white head that quickly diminishes to a thin surface layer. Aroma is boiled corn and some hops. Corn dominates the taste, but some sweet malt and hoppiness comes through. Typical American lager for the masses, although somewhat better than BudMillerCoors. cheapdark (2047), Monacatootha, Pennsylvania, USA
| 2.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 1/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 9/20 | Mar 3, 2007 Brown 12 oz twist off cap. I’ve always had bon ton beers from point. Twist off the cap and you get an uncooked bread dough aroma. The appearance of a ubiquitous pale yellow american beer greets you as you pour it into the glass. No head just a ring around the edge of the glass and a thin froth on top of the brew. Taste is that of a gentleman like lager, agreeable and refreshing. A diaphanous hint of metallic lays in the background. Enjoyable carbonation. After each taste I again get that clean metal sensation. In the aroma a can now detect some of that metal in there too. Finish is typically clean with a medium low bitterness. Pretty enjoyable and about average for a lager. demitriustown (705), Shelby Township, Michigan, USA
| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Mar 2, 2007 Pours a golden yellow with a carbonated white head that sticks around for a while. I detect grain and corn, a wet cardboard aroma and finally a light funky. Flavor is nice and crisp, somewhat sweet on the palate, a light corn note, and somewhat of a twang to it. Overall, It’s not horrible. It’s a pretty decent pale lager. It’s not top tier but enjoyable. I would get this before BMC if they had it at more bars in my area. | 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 2/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Dec 15, 2006 12oz bottle, no date. Pours a pale golden straw with a quickly fading 1/2 finger fizzy white head. Aroma of corn, sweet malts, and a hint of grassy hops--mostly corny though. Flavor is mostly corny with the slightest bit of fusel in there--not really strong enough for much of an impression--and the hops are pretty weak as well. Mildly sweet finish. Body is light with moderate carbonation. For a pilsenser, this is pretty bad. But for a pale lager this is pretty decent--I rated it for pale lager. Littleboob (25), Greensburg, Pennsylvania, USA
