Glad that I got this on sale for 2.30 a six pack. The nose is only mildly skunky, which I guess is a point in its favor. The flavor is like drinking mildly carbonated cooking oil mixed with caramel and honey. Cloying and sticky though not completely disgusting.

fruity aroma with butter. Pours a ruby amber, no head. Some sweet malt notes, sourness. Oily buttery palate. Watery middle with slight astringent finish.

clear brown with a small light tan head that diminishes quickly. aroma of caramel, hops, red wine, and alc. finish is nice with some nutty, buttery, chocolate, caramel notes but the beginning and mid-palate are fairly tasteless except for a light malt. palate is thin and highly carbonated.

More flavor than I expected for a $3.99 six pack beer. Definately has a chocolate aftertaste that hangs on for awhile. Very watery like all those other small breweries scattered over Wisconsin. Not that bad though if your in the mood to drink a few.

I liked this beer, it pours a pretty amber color. It has a good taste with a nice carmelly aftertaste.

bottle - Pours amber with a one finger head and a rich caramel malt aroma. The flavor is sweet malt with minimal hops. It’s simple, a little thin, but fairly good. It was also on sale for four bucks for a six pack and it’s pretty good for a cheap beer.

From a 12-oz. bottle: Gee, this almost reminds me of a brown ale of some sort. Pours a clear, darkish amber with small initial white head. Faintly sour malt aroma. Surprisingly nutty taste with a hint of vanilla & caramel. Fairly dry and not "sweet" like many Maibocks. Subdued hopping in the finish. A bit overcarbonated? Overall, a completely drinkable brew
