KnN (712), Greenbelt, Maryland, USA Nov 5, 2009 Pours a nice orange yellow color with a thin white head. Aroma is sweet malt almost orange juice citrus notes. Flavor is relatively sweet malt. No real hop character pretty decent. nuplastikk (1157), Madison, Wisconsin, USA Nov 1, 2009 12oz bottle. Filtered orange-tan color with a quick-fading patchy head. The aroma is sweet, with some orange alcohol laced notes. Really captures a lot of different tastes. Solid dry bitterness up front gives way to a rich, piny, sugary, sweetness. Mild honey notes as well. A pretty decent beer, a little underrated at the present. Perhaps a little too much sweet alcohol for it’s own good. arkurzynski (89), West Bend, Wisconsin, USA Oct 29, 2009 Pours darker and a bit thicker than a normal pilsener. Hop grassy/floral aroma makes itself known. Clear and overall smooth. Slightly unbalanced, which is okay in an imperial. Hopped decently. Pleasantly surprised with this one. argo0 (6842), Washington DC, USA Oct 27, 2009 12oz bottle. Small off-white head atop crystal clear amber body. Aroma is medium sweet, bread, light honey. Taste is moderately sweet, grass, bread, some honey, apricot, alcohol. Sticky medium-full body. jstraw (750), Chicago, Illinois, USA Oct 26, 2009 Darker golden with good, creamy white head / Nose of grass, bread, and honey / Medium body, malty and overly sweet, with good balance of hops on the hot, bitter finish / Flavors of honey and grass / Cloying sweetness detracts. scraff (1920), Baltimore, Maryland, USA Oct 12, 2009 12 oz - Max’s. Clear gold, white creamy head. Candy bread aromas warm to light swirls of kettle corn. Messy malt liquor flavors of sweet honey malt and grains throughout. Medium bodied, soft carboanation, sweet finish. Better served from a 40oz in a brown bag... thegreenrooster (1811), St.louis, Missouri, USA Sep 11, 2009 Pour is a hazy orange with a small white head. Aroma is lots of sweet malt and not much else. Flavor is very heavy with lots of sweet malt, a bit of honey and alcohol. Another "Impy pilsner" that is a malt liquor with a pretty craft beer label on it. travita (1851), Frisco, Texas, USA Sep 9, 2009 bottle thanks to bu11zeye. The smell is slight citrus, hops, and fruits especially apricot. The look is clear, golden in color, and has an off white head. The taste is floral, hops, fruits, and some light bitterness.
