Deep golden color with a taller heavy cream colored head. Very clean aroma, nearly too clean. I don’t catch any alcohol of other baddies, but I’m not retrieving any "great" pilsner scents. I’ll call it a premium lager aroma, with a hint of floral hops and some pale malts. Heavier feel, not as chewy and smooth as the Wholehog IPA, but appropriate for the style. I’d almost say too thick, but I think I may be picking nits. Pale and lightly toasted malts in the front. Middle gains some floral and lightly bitter herb hops. Finish and linger are actually quite crisp and dry. Linger has a touch of buttered toast and a little bite of earthy hops and iron. For a style that I have always said was basically a malt liquor, this one does it very well.

Clear deep golden yellow with a thin white head, slowly dissipating and leaving waves of lace behind. Aroma of citrus, noble hops, pale malt and some mild floralness as well. Taste of citrus and floral hops backed up by some sweet malt. Smooth body has moderate bitterness with a touch of floralness. Finishes up citric and light dry with some warming effects.

Picked up a four pack from Discount Liquors in Waukesha, Wisconsin. From a 12-oz bottle pours a clear golden amber colored brew with a thin off-white head that quickly dissipates to a thin white ring and some bubble rings on the top. Aroma of golden grain malt, some floral hops, a touch of bubble gum, and powdered sugar. Taste is medium to full bodied, some carbonation with flavors of golden grain malt, some bubble gum, grassy and floral hops and some alcohol. Finish has an alcohol bite and some sharp bitterness, then a semi-sweet aftertaste flavor. Could use a little less alcohol to smooth out the flavor.

12oz bottle. Filtered orange-tan color with a quick-fading patchy head. The aroma is sweet, with some orange alcohol laced notes. Really captures a lot of different tastes. Solid dry bitterness up front gives way to a rich, piny, sugary, sweetness. Mild honey notes as well. A pretty decent beer, a little underrated at the present. Perhaps a little too much sweet alcohol for it’s own good.

Impressive! I was pleasently surprised by the overall quality of this brew. Almost everything I have had from Point has been basically had minimum characteristic points of it’s represented style- NO MAS. But unless im buzzed up this has totally got my attention. Pours a golden orange colour wih a full whie head with decent retention. Taste is full and thorough. Definately more then i expected. Some tanginess that follows through in the finish. Aroma is interesting, grassy for sure with herbal notes and possibly some sort of dirt and earth. Earth more like it. All in all. Fun beer and I hope I can try their other Whole Hog brew.

The imperial part was not necessary, just make a good pilsner. This is solid anyway. low carbonation. Light gold color. Lots of bread dough, like sourdough, and some yeast. Good hops in the aroma and flavor. An enjoyable lager, that is slightly less enjoyable as it warms.

12oz bottle 4/10/09 (Discount Liquor-Milwaukee)-Pours a medium to dark golden body with a decent head that dissipates into a very small ring. Aroma of grains and pale lager. Taste is of hops, malt, and slight alcohol as it warms up. It finishes dry and crisp. This light to medium bodied brew is rather well balanced and quite tasty but not as flavorful as other Imperial Pilsners.
