The aroma has light malts with some yeast and light citrus hops. The flavor is balanced, more yeast with some citrusy components. Not quite bad, good almost belgian witbier qualities. Thanks Falconseye! Braudog (3774), Dayton, Ohio, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 5/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 12/20 | Jun 12, 2005 Golden maize with inviting white foam head. Almost a spicy nose that hints at corriander (is that the soy?). The flavor is unique, too ... mostly a sharp malt with a cheesey bite. Interesting sweettart finish. OK. sethdude (604), St. Louis, Missouri, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 14/20 | Sep 8, 2003 Updated: Nov 17, 2003Pleasantly surprised. I bought this because it is the only beer in town I have not tried, and feared the worst. Yes, it is gold in color, thin head, smells like an extremely weak IPA, has a good grassy flavor followed by some ok mild malt. Not bad compared to what I thought it would be. | 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 2/5 | 12/20 | Mar 28, 2004 Nice amber orange color, small white head that managed to stay around for a short time then faded to leave a small lace behind. The aroma was malty and fruity with a nice honey like sweetness coming through.Malty flavor that is light with a decent citrus side and definately fairly sweet with a mild hop presence coming on at the end. It's nothing special but would make a nice summer brew when it's hot as hell and anything will do to quench your thirst. Thanks to Jpdipso for sending this brew my way. austinpowers (2828), New York, New York, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Sep 5, 2003 Slightly metallic but a pleasant, flavorful and moderately malty lager from Great Plains. Not to be confused with the massively crappy Great Grains Brewery of Dallas, which is responsible for some of the lamest US microbrews on the planet. Falconseye8 (525), Cartersville, Georgia, USA

Not overly sweet or bitter, this is an excellent hot weather beer. Just like the weather conditions are right now. It’s a good effort and its one I would recommend trying if its availabe. nocsious (3), Kansas, USA does not count | 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 4/5 | 11/20 | Apr 29, 2004 Served on tap. Light amber in color with a thin, long lasting white head. Large intial aroma of fruity flowers. Taste was much the same with a bit of Cascade in there. Very soft on the palate with residual sweetness. Easy to drink and smells nice. Nothing special, but worth some more. Nuffield (2728), Roseville, Minnesota, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | May 18, 2004 I had some problems with this beer but I thought those were more idiosyncratic to my preferences and not something that would drive this beer to as low of marks as it has received. It poured rich golden with a massive, billowing head. Once it settled down, there was an interesting aroma that seemed a blend of hefeweizen, Belgian Golden ale, and saison (weakly)--citrus, mildly spicy, with some honey notes. The flavor was interesting up-front, with more citrus in particular, but the grassiness of the Hallertau led to an uncomfortable, dry, tacky finish on the back of my tongue. Perhaps I didn’t have enough sleep today, but it left me with a headache. I have four more bottles, so I’ll give this another try. It definitely has potential as a summer beer, although it is a bit too thick on the palate, needing a bit more carbonation retained for longer (not lost to the head) to give the refreshingly quality of a hefeweizen. Thanks Mike for bringing this down from Missouri!
