Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured a very cloudy (lots of floaters) orange-gold color with a medium sized white head. The aroma is crisp and wheaty with a spicy hop element. The flavor is sweet and richly malty with light fruity hops and an almost orange flavored element underlying. The finish is sweet and malty. A rather nice beer. sloth (1684), Ceciltucky, Co., Maryland, USA

Seriously hazy, classic wheat color. Yeasty nose, light fruitiness. Body is light, light creaminess. Yeasty flavor, wheat malt hidden underneath, doughy. Finish is dry. Thanks Degarth! sethdude (604), St. Louis, Missouri, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Sep 14, 2005 Pours a hazy orange with a billowy white, creamy head. Aroma is extremely mild, a little citrus and cereal. Flavor is actually interesting, considering the style. It starts typical and fairly malty, but then theres some tasty hop pepper, mild spices, citrus, and a dry finish. As american wheats go, this one is on point. Better than expected. Nose was hops and yeast. Taste was fruit, citrus, and a strong lemon after taste. Good summer brew. dberger624 (1028), Phila, Pennsylvania, USA

Kudos to the Pony Express folks for using homegrown wheat that their farmers/owners grow. Nate (2569), Indiana, Pennsylvania, USA

Light banana and citrus, a bit beany and just a little apricot. Cloudy butterscotch amber with thin off-white head. Medium watery body with medium carbonation. Starts with good wheat character, light banana sweetness and some citrus. Much more character than other American wheats I’ve had. Good bitternes to the finish and light chalky bitter citrus after. Decent wheat, especially for American wheat.
