Commercial Description:
Initial bite of hops is assuaged by a slightly biscuit-like maltiness.

Pours an almost non-existent head. The head fully diminishes. The body is clear and the hue is reddish orange. The body is light to medium with lively carbonation. From the aroma I struggled to detect anything concrete. I noticed a sweet grainy malt smell, perhaps cooked corn, and little to no hop presence. The initial flavor is somewhat sweet and finishes with a very small hint of bitterness. The body is light to medium with average to a little above average carbonation. Overall this is a rather boring flavor-less beer. This is a poor example of pale ale. There are so many quality pale ales on the market, it would be wise to avoid this one.

Bottle sampled with Beerded_one. Pours orange\copper with a decent sized white head. Aroma of citrus, hops, and some what skunked. The flavor is metal, bitter, caramel, and citrus. Thin body, just an ok brew.

This one had some really offensive chalky like bitterness. I don’t know if the bottles I purchased are old, or what, but all the things I have tried from this brewery are terrible. Flavor is a bit metallic, with some light caramel maltiness, and a hint of earthy hops. Yucky

Bottle. Pours orange\copper with a decent sized white head. Aroma of citrus, hops, pale malts. Flavor is carbonated, malty, citrus, and some bitterness from the hops. Decent body, decent beer.

On draft at the St Louis Microfest, 5/13/06: Shapr copper aroma with a tan head. Nice tart hop bitterness. I’d drink this again and again.

On tap at the 2006 Best of the Midwest Brewers’ Festival. redish amber in color with a fluffy white head. Light malty aroma is pleasant. Has a good head retention. Looks identical to the Flying Monkey, but tastes much better.

12oz bottle, no date. Pours a clear reddish orange with a moderatesmall, off-white head. I smell some carbonated hops and a weird unappealing carbonated port wine/roast meat smell--I can’t explain it, though I don’t like it. Some caramel malts as well. Taste is the roast meat again, some earthy hops, and a finish of biscuity malts. Me no likey.

Aroma - a dry wheat/malt mixture that isn’t overly appealing. It has a nice golden color. There is almost no hoppiness whatsoever in the taste. There is no real discernable taste to this beer. As others have said...."watery mess".
