| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 2/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Jan 21, 2005 New label. I had this many years ago when Pony Express was under a different company. Now rating the new version. A very thin white head. Very light amber color. Aroma is oranges, bread and some green beans. The taste has a slightly metallic tint with some strong grass and tobacco. Also a weird aftertaste of butter. A decent light pale ale. There are better micros made in KC, as there were many years ago. csbosox (1082), Prairie Village, Kansas, USA
| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 4/5 | 10/20 | Dec 16, 2004 12 oz bottle. Pint glass. Reddish orange color, off white head. Some hoppy notes in the aroma, unimpressive nose. Piney, floral, hop driven taste. Some underlying sweetness, vanilla? Also some sourness? Dry, bitter finish. Easy drinking. More hops than I expected. Slick (1962), Thief River Falls, Minnesota, USA

Good hoppy citrus aroma with a mild malt and maybe a little bit of a pine note coming through as well.Nice mild hops up front with a mild grapefruit and mild malty taste. The brew is pretty smooth from start to finish with just a light bitterness at the tail end.Not bad at all and a decent summer brew for sure. Thanks go to Falconseye for sending this brew my way. | 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jun 23, 2004 Amber brown with a light head and lacing. Bitter hops with slight roast malts in the aromas. Again bittering hops are most prevelent in the flavors with more roasted malts and a nice spicy hint of hops. Toast or biscuits as well. Malty palate and a bitter finish with some spice.
