Bottle from sister’s trip to Belgium. Nice deep colour and braaan head. Quite bad impression of a Stout. Too sweet even for a sweet stout. Thin, weak, hint of metal flavour. Overall - fizzy.

Bottle.Dark brown with a small light brown head. Aroma of roasted malts, a hint of coffee. Medium body. Taste is sweeet and and reminds me of a danish hvidtøl - not much stout here.

Bottle: Deep ruby-amber coloured with the smallest foamy layer; sweet caramel and roasted malt and burnt sugar in the nose; light to medium bodied, moderate sweet flavour; restrained fruity traces in the (burnt)sugary-caramelly finish. Tastes like a german Malzbier, but heavy on alcohol.......

(25cl bottle) Almost black coloured hue with a thick brown foamy head. Slightly dusty, sweet and moderately roasted malty nose with a acidic touch. Sweet and slightly acidic-tart flavour, light to medium bodied with a moderate carbonation. Sugary malty, slightly roasted taste with faint traces of milk chocolate; sweet and tart finish with shy roasty notes. A drainpour (02.III.09).

Bottle, 5.2%. 6 months past BB date. Black colour, seems clear. Quite sweet flavour, fruity. Too sweet, tastes low alcohol, also a lot like hvidtøl, roasted.
