Very light flavoring and very easy to drink. I agree with other raters that it was very "tripel" in nature. Great bier, recommend trying it. iep (229), Amsterdam, Netherlands
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 16/20 | Feb 22, 2007 Murky orange (lots of sediment) out of a small 25cl bottle. Large, steady head. Grassy/floral hoppy aroma. Hoppy taste, balanced out by nice sweet-ish malt and bready yeast. A bit bland and one dimensional. Good mouthfeel, but very light on carbonation. Gets bonus points for the low price (less than 1$ for a bottle). profane (40), Italy
| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 2/10 | 4/5 | 11/20 | Feb 15, 2007 Draught. Malt, chocolate, rhum. Strong alcohol taste (also in the nose). A little smoked. Leaves a bitter end on the lips. Short end. cathcacr (589), Portland, Oregon, USA
| 4.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 9/10 | 5/5 | 18/20 | Feb 13, 2007 The label on mine says hommel ale, not hommel bier. I assume this is the one. Crisp, tart, grassy, vegetably. Resembles a Triple but is more sharp and has stronger (floral?) aroma. I found it most enjoyable, hence my outlandishly high score for it. I’m big on things Tripel-y, and this is even more distinctive. My only problem was the brewery shaving off a fl. oz. This is America, we need things big!

| 4.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 5/5 | 17/20 | Feb 7, 2007 Pours golden with an effervescent body and a wispy tan head. Aroma of wildflowers, honey, wheat and bubble gum. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with lush carbonation. I really liked this beer, I want to ’rate’ more. NikonTheDog (13), Hawaii, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Feb 6, 2007 A somehow light but strong and rich beer. Refreshing with a pleasant fizzy texture. Distinctive. Doesn’t stay with you too long. (from bottle) BigBeer45 (698), Troy, Michigan, USA

| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Feb 6, 2007 hazy, almost cloudy amber. nice fragrant aroma, definite hop almost of american style and balanced. long lasting head with a bit of lace. definite session beer. this is the belgian version,
American market export version: More hop nose and much more subdued in every other way. I think the one I brought back from Brussels (in a smaller bottle without the bbe info) was much better.
