| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 3/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Nov 19, 2006 Hazy gold with a massive frothy white head that was fully lasting. Strong herbal aroma, sweet semi-yeasty. Brown sugar, cardboard flavor, seemed "glassy." Past its prime? Lemon, grass finish, mildly carbonated. jehoey (766), Shippensburg, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 2/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Nov 19, 2006 25cl bottle: sorry to say that it poured full of floaties, but that it is still a very enjoyable beer. I bet it would be a lot better though. I may have to get another one. Aroma is very full of herbal hops and bananas. poured yellow with good head and lacing but had floaties. Flavors are herbal hops, with a citrus bite, and nice doughy tastes of belgium malt. I bet this would be amazing had it not had floaties all though its still pretty damn good. Will have to re-rate GG (1650), NorCal, California, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Nov 17, 2006 A very, very enjoyable Belgian strong. I’d been sitting on this one for awhile, so a warm, lazy Saturday afternoon and I thought...what better time. Aroma is floral hoppy, yes but there’s also a bit of fruitiness there too, like a juicy apple, and yeast and malt. Appearance was a dark golden color, white head with fluffyness to it. Mouthfeel was on the clumsy side of things, which was the only thing I found to nitpick about this beer. I didn’t find it smooth at all, slightly harsh and a little unpleasing but still very do-able. Flavors were the high mark here, with a suprising hoppy bite for a belgian beer but theres also a bit of sourness, yeast with a spicy finish. You also get a bitter aftertaste. Overall, I’d recommend this. Miguel (1181), Saint-Ours, Quebec, Canada

| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Oct 28, 2006 poured golden with a large rocky white head. Smell of Belgian yeast and fruit. Hoppy and bitter for the style. A bit of a metalic bitter aftertaste. Good lacing and the head stayed until the bottom of the glass. The bitterness seems to overpower the malt and alcohol. A good beer to introduce a hop head to the Belgian strong ale style. A bit on the expensive side at well over US$4, but I’m glad I bought it. Stefano (1341), Esbjerg, Denmark
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 12/20 | Oct 22, 2006 Orangy gold with fine carbonation. Spiced floral aroma. Sweet malty flavor, yeasty, spritzy, with a fairly strong sweet & sour citrus like spice. Medium bodied, bubbley mouthfeel. MiP (9097), Sønderborg, Denmark
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Oct 16, 2006 Bottle, 7.5%. Bready, grassy hop aroma. Clear golden colour. Stable white head. Tastes a bit old, even though it is 2 years until BB date. But quite drinkable. Not that hoppy. Good hop flavour, but not too aromatic or bitter.
